Marco Valenzuela is a south Mexican slugger third baseman. He previously played in the Mexican league with Carlos Sanhueza, where the two became close friends. His hitting skills are not enough to dominate in the Majors, but he should suffice as a #5 or #6 hitter.

Description

This is a Success Mode third baseman for my custom team, the Charlotte Chargers. He is based on my best player from a expansion team I was given in 2007's MLBPP (The Wings). Most of my players were poor, but Valenzuela was easily my cleanup hitter. Also, I needed another foreign-born infielder, because with Colamarino and Perry on the right side of the infield, I again have an abundance of white players.

Valenzuela isn't the best hitter or the biggest power threat, but he should hit 15-20 homers and provide a decent bat. His fielding is good, and he has a strong throw from across the diamond. He is durable and consistent, and although he may not have the best attitude, he production should be adequate from the hot corner. He can't play anywhere but third - his arm has shortstop potential, but his feet are too slow.
