Original Pitch Guide 2008

You obtain an Original Pitch after finishing Sittch's ninja training as a pitcher. This pitch is also referred to as the "named pitch" or "custom pitch" by game players. The original pitch event allows you to modify the movement/velocity of one of your breaking pitches, or to obtain a new breaking pitch and modify it. You are also able to change the name of the pitch to something original.

Original Pitch Criteria

• If you have two pitches in the same direction:
  • If they are the same level, the primary pitch is modified.
  • If they are different levels, the lower-leveled pitch is modified.
• If you only have one pitch in the selected direction, the original pitch will become a secondary pitch in that direction.
• If you have no pitches in the selected direction, the original pitch will become a primary pitch in that direction.
• You cannot modify your 4SFB, nor can you convert a 2SFB into an original pitch.

Pitches

• The five pitches that you can add as an original pitch are: Slider, Curveball ("Curve"), Forkball ("Fork"), Sinker, Sinking Fastball.
• You can only upgrade an existing pitch if you have two pitches in the same direction.
