Personality
Marvin is outgoing, optimistic, and a friendly person, but he has weird hobbies, strange accent and unorthodox ways to express himself, which cause him to appear a total klutz and extremely girl-shy. Marvin tends to blurt out whenever he's excited, and rarely fail to appear very awkward, silly, or annoying. He also has a tendency to gets carried away when he's being praised. Despite that, Marvin is a good person, and is considered a best friend by the main character.

Behind the Scenes
His counterpart in the Japanese Power Pros series is Akio Yabé. Marvin's very first appearance in the franchise dates back to Jikkyou Powerful ProYakyu 10, where the player will meet Marvin as Yabé's doppelganger when he travels to the USA. He has since become the default sidekick when the Success Mode setting is in the USA.
Marvin's name in the Japanese series is Yarven Diyans (ヤーベン・ディヤンス), which roughly translates to "Chief, I'm Yabé", a play on Yabé's idiosyncratic phrase.
