Overview
These are events in Success Mode. Chief can take assignments from Jaw, a Private Investigator, for reward items and cash.
Events
Meeting Jaw (Random)
Chief is reading a newspaper and finds a want ad for an assistant to a private investigator. Chief calls the number and the man on the other end tells Chief to meet him downtown the following week.
Jobs (Free Time)
After the Meeting Jaw event, Jaw's icon will appear on the Street. Chief will be offered a random job by going there. He has the option of declining, in which case he can come back later for a different assignment. Once he takes the offer he must complete the job before the time limit, otherwise Jaw will no longer offer him any jobs.
Find Dog
This event requires locating the dog, Massive.
Massive will only approach you if the chief has a candy.
Luckily the dog's owner gives the chief a candy every time you take this job.
Chief can search for the dog by visiting the Vicinage.
Find Ring
This event again requires locating the dog, Massive, who has eaten a ring.
Massive will only approach you if you have purchased a Candy; otherwise he will run away.
Once you have purchased the candy, visit the Vicinage and search one direction for the dog. Right appears to work 60-70% of the time in limited testing.
Chief returns Massive to its owner, who asks you to give something to the owner of the ring; the ring's owner declines and says you should keep it. This item can be a tourmaline ring. Then Jaw pays you for your effort.
Find Child
Jaw will ask you to look for a missing child in this event. You will search in the vicniage and will have the choice of either left or right like in finding the dog, if you do find the girl she will be with massive and you will have completed the event. Jaw will pay you for your work, you don't get any items from this job.
Exterminate Rats
This event requires you to search the sewer for the rat.
You always finish this event on the first try.
