In Success Mode, the player can also increase skills that can further enhance his ability to train better, get more money (or spend it better), and impress people. There are three skills, bookworm, money man, and ladies man. The player starts out with zero experience in each and can increase it through performing tasks at the option screen, random events and fate cards.

Bookworm

This skill can be raised by studying (Free Time-> Study), Training with the Mind Training Necklace, and random events. When studying, you have a random chance to earn a small bonus by answering a question.

  2. Brilliant/Genius
    1. Able to see the hyper-recovery gauge

  3. Professor
    1. Unlock the hidden abilities of items
  4. Inventor
    1. Invents new items and/or training techniques during study. List of Invented Items and Techniques

Money Man

  1. Job Master
    1. Increases the salary and reduces the amount of vitality used in the job
  2. Smart Shopper
    1. The prices of items at the store go down, you can sell your items for better prices
  3. Financier
    1. Characters makes some extra money every week
  4. Collector
    1. Able to see the hidden abilities of items

Ladies Man

  1. Stud
    1. Loses less vitality on dates
  2. Hunk
    1. Cures love sickness
  3. Idol
    1. Receives presents from random fans
  4. Prince of Baseball
    1. Scouts give you an easier time
