Hawaii Islanders Scouting Report

Jacob Arteaga (SP) Arteaga is a very good pitcher, but doesn't have as good control of his pitches as some of the others players on the team. His Vertical Slider has hitters just guessing at his pitches, and is sure to make them whiff. He started off 'slow', but got better as the practices and games went on. When he stays on his fastball, he is sure to be amazing. His breaking balls are about average, and he is still 'lucky' enough to have gone undefeated in college. Looking at his pitches, the batters could not seem to catch up to his fastball, and were swinging early at it. So, overall, a great player.
