Summary
These are a series of events in Success Mode 2008 that form Joey's side story.
Events
1st Event: Joey's Poem (Random)
The first event can only be triggered after Chief gets promoted to AAA. Chief meets Joey, who is witting a poem so send his girlfriend. He agrees to let Chief read it if he does 100 push-ups:
- Fine, 100 push-ups.
- Joey recites his poem, which describes his come-from-behind game winning homer:
Oh!
When a white arrow flies through the sky...
The people will see a miracle.
The servants will line up...
And wait to greet the King upon his return.
- Fielders: Strength +11, Pitchers: Stamina +?
- Nah, forget it.
2nd Event: Letter from Hawaii
Chief meets Joey who shows him a letter from his girlfriend, who apparently now lives in Hawaii. He tells Chief to run 10 laps around the block to read the letter.
- Sure, whatever.
- Chief runs 5 laps but opens the letter without Joey's permission. Most of the letter is written in ancient Hawaiian. Part of the letter is in English, a love poem. Chief grows increasingly suspicious Joey's is lying about having a girlfriend.
- Vitality -5, Strength +11, Chance of Laziness
- I'll pass.
