Summary
The Legendary Cave events are a series of events in Success Mode 2008 that form a side story.
Events
1st Event: Treasure Map (Random)
Marvin talks about a legendary cave somewhere in the mountains. He has a treasure map with something written in Latin, which Marvin recites:
When you see the waterfall inside the case, follow the river.
You will then find brightly shining treasure above the lake.
Marvin imagines an underground lake shining with treasure.
- Ok, let's go! - Marvin makes preparations for the expedition. He promises to let Chief know when he's ready.
- Energy +?, Carryover Points +1, Mentality +2
- This can't be real.
2nd Event: No Flashlight (Random)
Chief and Marvin set out on the expedition. They locate the mouth of the cave and go in. It's pitch dark inside but Marvin didn't bring a flashlight, saying he's been told that one can explore an entire cave by keeping the left hand on the wall and walking forward. There are some stabs and banging noises, and Chief loses track of Marvin, only to learn it was a prank. Chief has had enough and the two leave the cave.

3rd Event: Euclidean Geometry (Random)
Chief meets Marvin, this time he has a compass. He asks Chief to come with him on another expedition:
- All right...
- After what seems like hours of walking around in circles, the two emerge from entrance of the cave. Chief is disgusted that they took all the time to simply walk around the whole place. Marvin claims that it's impossible according to Euclidean geometry. He thinks he can prove space in the cave is distorted with the theory of relativity.
