Description
Secrets of Defense is an item in Success Mode. It will appear as a red book icon on the inventory screen, and can be used to acquire a random defensive ability.
Possible Abilities
Secrets of Defense can give any blue fielding ability except Throwing 4.
Gd Catcher, Grt Catcher, and Trash Talk are available only to players whose main position is a catcher.
Gd Reflexes, Gd Pickoff are considered pitching abilities and thus are not available from Secrets of Defense.

- From a Surprise Bag
- From Annie as a Valentine's gift in Year 3. (Fielders only)
- By completing the Professor's Homework
