Random?!?

I've used the Marvin card and NOT come up with anything. Motivation Down. Perhaps we need to verify this some more. --MaxDSterling 17:08, 8 February 2008 (CST)

I've used Marvin before although I wasn't recording all the different results at that point, but I did it various times and he always suggests telling the other guy going for it to 'look at that $10 bill' the guy says 'Where?!' - you sneak in and take the powerin -Aabra
And there is a random chance he WON'T fall for it. I missed out again today XD. PS, you can use the signature button (2nd to last one) or type --~~~~ to get the same effect. --MaxDSterling 00:04, 9 February 2008 (CST)
Interesting... it's always worked for me but I only did it maybe 3 times so I'm inclined to agree with you that it's probably random. I can't seem to find the signature button although I haven't exactly edited my Wiki preferences very much so that could be it. (I only signed up a couple days ago.) I'm just editing this 'talk' page like any other which is probably not the way I should be doing it. I'll try using --~~~~ and see what happens, thanks for the tip. --Aabra 03:09, 9 February 2008 (CST)
Yes, some of the choices can have two different outcomes (success/failure). For example I heard there was a chance of acquiring Break-Up Double Play by using the Challenge card to beat out the customer, and I think in that case your fortune rating would go up.--Odawali 20:48, 23 February 2008 (CST)

Part of Robin's story

This is the first event in Robin's mini-arc that eventually leads to a Weight Training upgrade. I'm trying to figure out how to organize these arc-related events. Should there be a different category for them? Or maybe put all events on one page, like on the Sarah's Events page? For now, I tried outlining what I know on Success Substorylines--Odawali 22:47, 22 February 2008 (CST)

I think that at the very least it needs to be mentioned in the page of that particular event. If that event leads to another event or if it needs a previous event to occur it should be noted at the top of the page ("This is a random event in success...blah, blah, blah). I don't like the page for Sarah's events. Its all good info, but not all the choices for fate card events are fleshed out. --Mrsims31 06:30, 23 February 2008 (CST)
