Baseball Positions

There are 9 positions in baseball:
- A Catcher (C) who catches throws from the Pitcher (P).
- Three outfield (OF) positions: Left Field (LF), Center Field (CF), and Right Field (RF).
- Four infield (IF) positions: First Base (1B), Second Base (2B), Third Base (3B), and Shortstop (SS).
A player may have as many as three positions.
Season Mode
In Season Mode, the Pitcher can be put in any of the following roles which affect how the CPU will play him:
- Starter - Takes mound from start of game.
- Swing Man - Spot starter and reliever.
- Long Reliever - Relieves starters who leave game early.
- Middle Reliever - Appears when team is tied or trailing.
- Situational Lefty - Called in to face lefties.
- Mop-Up Man - Pitches in lopsided games to spell other pitchers.
- Set-Up Man - Appears when team is barely ahead or tied.
- Closer - Puts away the win. Usually only pitches the last inning.
Success Mode
In Success Mode, the position at which the Main Character starts the game will affect how he interacts with other characters.
In 2007:
