A minor-league free agent, Andrews was picked up by the Chargers as an additional starter to throw into the mix. Andrews originally hails from Alberta; he has a devastating V-slider, a knuckle-curve, and a weak slurve to round out his repertoire. He barely has starter stamina, and not much velocity, so relies on spotting his offspeed pitches with decent control.

Description
A reliever for my Charlotte Chargers 2008 team, Stone is an update of last year's, albeit with better pitches. Stone's concept was a flamethrowing righty that could possibly compete for the setup job, but has absolutely no control. Due to his one-dimensional strength being such high speed, the goal is to have him be weak in all other areas - fielding, hitting, off-speed pitches, and special abilities. Creation was very tough - lots of extra points, and getting to 103mph was a snap. Keeping his control and stamina down were difficult; eventually I was just spending points and gambles on hitter abilities that would hopefully not be a factor.
Stone relies on winding back and hurling the hardest fastball he can. Occasionally he will mix in his changeup, which has some drop and can be devastating to hitters expecting 100mph heat. He has a hard-sinker that sees some action, but his curve is not something he would show unless starting. He has almost no stamina, and no control; coupled with Choke Artist, this makes him something of a headache for catchers and managers. Stone could potentially compete for the setup job on the Chargers, blowing 103mph fastballs by batters in the 8th inning - but due to his control issues he may end up relegated to 6th or 7th inning duty, or AAA.
