Description
This is my second attempt at a knuckleballer in 2008 Success Mode 2008. He has an interesting mix - he is Japanese, so he has a good fastball (94mph), a sinker, and a shuuto. But the Knuckleball is his best pitch - being able to throw the heat makes him very threatening. He also has a bit of speed and decent contact for a pitcher, which will help the Chargers' NL lineup.
This year's Sakata is a lefty, again with Hideki Okajima's throwing motion. His good consistency and recovery, as well as low A stamina, should make him a valuable starter.
Creation was interesting - my third run through Success Mode, and second successful one. One successful GoodJob visit got my speed higher than I anticipated, and when I kept visiting Sittch I got an original pitch, which I did not intend on getting.
Success Mode seems much easier this year, with Goodjob occuring with more frequently (last year's game I ran through 40 characters with only 2 GoodJob visits; this is my 3rd character, and 3rd visit). Between that and some good performances, I really had too much skill; I ended up getting injured (twice), and keeping the player anyway.
