Overview

The Black Dog Events are a series of events in Success Mode 2008 that form a small storyline after which the Organic Dog gets added to the Ducks' menu.

Events

1st Event: Spying on Black Dogs (Random / Free Time)

Requirements

This event is triggered by going to the Street when Ben's icon is there. This happens when the following conditions are met:

• Must have moderate likability rating from Patty
• Must have worked at least once at Ducks
• Must have eaten at least once at Ducks

Additionally, the event can also be triggered in the following ways:

• Above conditions are met, but Jaw's icon is on the Street. Visit Street but head into town.
• As a random event when above conditions are met.

The Event

Chief meets Ben on the Street. He's trying to obtain a sample from the Black Dog hot dog branch nearby. Chief has a choice to help him:

• I'll do it
  • It turns out the Black Dog is quite good. Ben vows to create a better hot dog.
  • Vitality +10, Energy +3
• I can't do it

2nd Event: Marvin's Black Dog (Random)

The second event will be triggered randomly between November Week 2 and December Week 4. Marvin comes by Chief's place to give him something:

• Hey, thanks
  • He gives Chief a Black Dog hot dog he got from a new branch that just opened. Apparently the owner of the Galaxy Sharks AAA team also owns the Black Dog hot dog chain.
  • Vitality +5, Quickness Points +6
• (Decline)

3rd Event: Organic Dog (Free Time)

The third event can be triggered on January Week 1 or after by visiting Ducks. Ben comes back from the bank where he took out a loan. He gives Chief a new kind of hot dog he created, called the Organic Dog.

• Vitality +55, Money +$70, Likability +?

After this event, the Organic Dog will be added to Ducks' menu.
