While Naruto was not the first Gyro-Ball Pitcher, he is the first one to create a Gyro-Ball pitcher who was also strong and powerful in other aspects.
Mr. Welz discovered the Gyro Ball first and created the first pitcher, but he was obviously very weak because while creating him, Mr. Welz focused solely on finding the Gyro-Ball.
