The Spirit System is an option in Exhibition Mode which allows performance-based changes to form during the game. It can be enabled after selecting the ballpark on the Game Settings screen.
For example, a pitcher who started out with poor form can improve his form by retiring a lot of batters in succession.
The Spirit System adds two additional forms to both ends of the spectrum; a dancing pink face icon indicates On his game, a better form than the Best Form indicated by a stationary pink face icon[1], while a slumping purple face icon indicates Off his game, a worse form than the Worst Form indicated by a purple face icon.
