Description
I had tried to create a fifth starter twice, and ended up with guys a little bit too good (Javier Aceves and Jamal King, my 3rd and 4th starters now). I also wanted a starter who relied more on curveballs than 90+ speed, and had Vertical Slider, as none of my pitchers had it yet.
Nate happened upon some failed gambles, and I decided to play his last year out without save/reloads. He already had two decent pitches (V-Slider, Drop Curve) and 89mph, so I mainly goofed off the last year, accumulating extra points in breaking ball, technique, and mentality. I finally used them all after completing success mode, to land another curve (KNCB) and some helpful abilities (good spin, good low pitch).
Andrews is another first for me, in that I gave him shaggy red hair and a beard/mustache wild man look. Too many of my characters were plain, and none have mustaches. Glasses complete the picture...sort of like an Arroyo-Halladay mix of some kind.
