Zac Davis Scouting Report, by Lance Sharp
Zac Davis is a very solid relieving pitcher for the Seahawks. He is a great pickup. He is a right-handed pitcher that's repertoire includes a mid-90's fastball, a plus slider, that he calls "The Swagball" and an above average 70-75 MPH palmball. He has very good reflexes on the mound and can easily stop balls hit back to him. He is also very good under pressure and pitching well against lefties. He throws a good low pitch, his palmball in the dirt will be incredibly hard to hit. His fastball has exceptional life on it, and his breaking pitches have good backspin. He can also recover very quickly from long outings of relief. He racks up tons of strikeouts, which is a very good addition in relief when he is in a jam. Unfortunately, he is inconsistent, and if Zac is in a bad mood, he won't perform well. He has great pace while pitching which will let him be sort of a long/middle reliever.
