The name is a tribute to the "final boss" team (think Champion Rings) from MLB PP's predecessor [http://www.konami.jp/products/pawa_major_ps2/　''Jikkyô Powerful Major League''], released only in Japan. In this version, you could play Success Mode on 5 different teams, each one offering their own benefits. This is actually the norm in the Power Pro Series, but my guess is Konami decided to strip things down trying to introduce this game to an international audience.

Origin
