Overview
Intimidator is a blue ability that 'makes (opponents) nervous'. There are two separate abilities by the same name, a hitting ability and a pitching ability.
Ability Effects
Hitting Intimidator
- Will drain more stamina per pitch from the pitcher during every plate appearance
- Lessens pitcher's control in the previous hitter's plate appearance
Pitching Intimidator
- Reduces batters' power
- When pitching in relief, shrinks batters' hitting cursors significantly
Acquisition
Success Mode
- Success Mode 2007: From Becky
- Success Mode 2008: From Lucy (pitchers) or Patty (fielders)
Note: In Success Mode, your character can only acquire the Intimidator ability that corresponds to his main fielding position; Position players will acquire hitting Intimidator, and pitchers will acquire pitching Intimidator.
MLB Life Mode 2008
Hitting Intimidator
- Gain Intimidator experience by hitting 2 or more home runs in a single game
- Lose Intimidator experience by going hitless in a game
