Description
This is my first attempt at a knuckleballer in Success Mode. He has an interesting mix - he is Japanese, so he has a good fastball (91mph), a circle change, and a shuuto. But the Knuckleball is his best pitch by far - being able to throw the heat makes him very threatening. He also has a bit of speed (E) and decent contact and trajectory for a pitcher.
I played through with almost no dating, no gambling. I won the college championship series in the 3rd year, and played against the all-start; I was up 4-0 in the bottom of the ninth, and though Sakata was tired, I kept going hoping he would get a complete game shutout (he had only allowed 2 or 3 hits).
Sure enough, Pujols hit a 2-run homer. I tried to get through one more batter, but Vlad got a hit to right. I still kept going - I had two outs - and it was 4-2. Sure enough, Cano hit a homer out to right. Suddenly a tie game.
I brought in another reliever and got a 9-inning tie. So sad.
