October 31st, 1988. A normal Halloween for some. For others, it is a day to be remembered. It was the day, that Rev Davis, a future star was born. He was born in Pittsburg, PA.

When he was born, the family had no desire of him becoming a baseball star. They were living in an apartment above a pizza parlor with barely enough money to get by, never the less enroll him in to baseball. His mother, named Jillian, was 20 and working at a Denny's making just above minimum wage, sometimes working a 24 hour shift to get food on the table. She was in her fourth year of college trying to get a better job so that they would be able to have a better life. His father named Jason and also 20, was working working at an Asian coffee shop (one that sold tapioca drinks) working as a janitor, also only making just above minimum wage. He was working at the same college, in his fourth year. They had gotten married early, at the age of 18. When they had Rev, they had been motivated to get that college degree so he could get a better life.

Around the age of 4, Rev's parents had graduated college. His mom had began to work at a Bank of America as a starting upper class job and his father now owned the Coffee shop. The original owner had died and chosen his father to own, as he was the hardest working employee. They now had moved out of their apartment and into a one story house, sadly still in the Suburbs. They have improved their financial state. They had gathered enough spare money and they decided to take Rev to a baseball game to see the Pittsburgh Pirates play the Los Angeles Dodgers. They bought Rev a baseball cap and a Barry Bonds bobble head. This was the moment where he fell in love with baseball and wanted to play it. After the game, he asked his parents "Can I play baseball like the big guys?"

They had to think about it.

A bit off-topic, but go to the User Control Panel -> Click on "Profile" -> Click on Edit Avatar, and then work from there.

Continuing from last time...

They had thought about it for about a week. They were certainly richer than they were when they first had Rev, being able to move into a nice apartment complex, graduate and have better jobs. They were even able to take him to a Pirates game, even though they did get cheap seats. But they were still in the lower class society and still living in an apartment near the Suburbs. They had reached a decision. His mother called Rev into the kitchen on a warm April night.

"Rev!" said his mother Jillian. "Can you come in here please?"

Rev came running down, "reving" his little engine of a body.

"Yes mommy?"

"Do you still want to play baseball 'like the big guys'?"

"Would I ever! When I grow up, I want to be just like them!"

"Well have I got news for you. Starting next week, you get to play baseball."

"Just like them!" he said cutting her off.

"Just like them."

For a moment, it was as if Rev's world had just stopped rotating. For one moment, he had realized that his greatest fantasy would come true, even if he was only a child. The second his mother said those three little words, he started jumping up and screaming just like a little kid would if he got a new shiny lollipop. But his reward was so much sweeter.

The following day, they went to the local sporting goods store and bought Rev everything that he would need for baseball. A glove that fit like a glove, a bat just the right size, and some wiffle balls for him to play with in the backyard. When they got home, Rev rushed to the backyard, and asked his dad about 10 times if he could come play with him in the backyard. He eventually said yes. His dad thought him how to hit a ball and how to throw it. By the time the sun had set in the evening, you would think that he was a mini Derek Jeter. They did this every day when his dad got home until he retired to the couch.

A week later, Rev, had his first baseball tryout. His mother and father had both came to see their little Rev play. The second that he got out of the car, he was running onto the field and asking for a baseball from one of the coaches. Jason, his father, chased him down, the coach letting out a little smile. When he got to the tryout he dominated the competition, basically playing as if he was 6 and not 4. He hit all of the baseball off of the tee and into the outfield. He played solid defence, just like a pro. His running wasn't exactly the best of all of the kids, but he could swipe a few bases as an older kid.

After the tryout, all of the coaches gathered the parents and said that their teams would be picked later and that they would call later that week. The tryout was over, but Rev wasn't done. He begged and pleaded for his parents to let him play a little longer, but they had to say no. The whole ride home could be summed up in one word: WHAAAAA!

Author's Note: Thanks for once again reading. What do you think will happen? Leave your comments!
BTW: I will eventually get the My Life secession. I just want to give you guys a little story to spice it up a bit!

Only mods can change it, so... It'll probably never be moved because we have no active mods and the only person who can recruit more mods outright refuses to do so.

I'll look at it and decide how interesting it is later.

Well, even Steven Davis made it to the majors, he just wasn't very good at it.
