Florida is bad, but I've heard people say(I've never been there)that Texas isn't that bad, because there's no humidity. And seriously, have you "southerners" ever been sledding, or had a snowball fight? I hate a Christmas that doesn't have any snow outside my window.

Yep, we had two straight Christmases(?) with snow on the ground here, stupid Global Warming :P . I actually love Winter, its my favorite season, and we do get good snow here once or twice a winter, but its more of sledding ice than snowball flakes.

Also, our school system is wimpy about snow. Rain overnight at 31 degrees? 2 hr delay. 1/2 inch snow. Closed. The most I remember ever having is 6 inches.

Btw, I'm the northern part of the south in NC, so TX and FL will have much different results. My mom's friends from SC on Facebook went nuts over 1 inch in Columbia, SC, first snow in 4 years apparently.

We've had a heat wave so everyone besides me in my neighborhood is whining for snow.

A week long heat wave is much more enjoyable than a day of snow.

Southerners aren't wimps in the winter, never gets below 50-60 degrees most of the time. And when it does, everyone's excited that there's a chance of snow. In fact, the only people that generally complain are the northerners that have moved down here. They complain that it isn't supposed to get so cold here. :P

Whoever says there's no humidity in Texas has obviously never been to Houston.

I remember one time, me and my brother went outside with a yard stick to see how muck snow was on the ground out in the middle of the yard.(We have a big yard, since we live in the middle of the country.) We got it down about 15 inches, then it stopped. We thought it was the bottom, but it was just a layer of ice that we had to break through. There were another 10 inches under that, so that made 25 in. The most snow we ever got was 13 inches of snow from 1 storm.

I wish it was 65 degrees every day. Michigan... not so good with that.
