And thus another year has come to pass in this site we call MLBPPWorld. Based on what was written about last year, this site has had a marked improvement over the chaos it endured back then. Spam has pretty much stopped, and double posting is basically never seen unless necessary. After browsing another forum lately, I'm glad to see that PPWorld did not become the chaotic mess that it could have been. Just look for yourself.

A couple of faithful members such as BobbyBaseball and HitandRun, but we also gained new ones such as BennyBaseball, BrewersFuzz, and maccrash21. Sjax and jacoby announced that they would leave, but it turns out they couldn't stay away. All our members, new and old, always keep this site worth going to despite the lack of new Power Pros games.

The phenomenon of Simyard has finally died down after over 200 pages of posts in its topic here. A few forum games popped up, their popularity rising and falling periodically. However, the biggest thing to come the Free-for-All section was the 2nd attempt at an RPG, created by Brewers Fuzz and written by HitandRun. With an interesting story and a fun method of making choices for your player, the RPG was a blast for everyone involved, but it fell after HitandRun vanished from the site without a trace. Lightningman117 has graciously volunteered to keep it alive himself, but for now, we must wait for a continuation.

Just like the year before it, 2010 saw no new MLB Power Pros game hit the shelves, but Jikkyo Pawafuru Puroyakyu 2010 was released in Japan on the non-region-coded PS3. This allowed our members goodways, Powerprosfan31, and (more recently) PowerPro Jr to buy it, play it, and share it with all of us. While goodways is currently serving our country in Afghanistan, PPfan is keeping us filled in with his Hanshin Tigers log. While there's no MLB in this version of Power Pros, we're just glad to have our favorite PP gameplay back, at least for a little while. Maybe Konami can release an NPB game over here in the states. It's wishful thinking, but still...

As I sit here finishing this up, 2011 has already began for our friends on the east cost. I'm still waiting up in the den for the new year to begin while my sister and her friends party downstairs. It's a new year and a new start, so let's all make 2011 better than all years before it.

So whaddya say? Worthy sequel? And please let me know if I missed anything. I did this rather quickly and all from memory.

I was mentioned... I feel honored
But anyways, I think you hit the nail on the head. Maybe this year, this site will rebound into what it once was!

Let's hope for an excellent 2011! :yay:

(Oh, and I second that NPB game release over here in America, if they do that, they wouldn't have to go through those imbeciles at 2K)!
(Oh, and also also can you give me a name to put into my season log? Sorry that this is totally irrelevant... I feel... weird putting this on this thread...

Oh if only I could have seen this site back in 2008. It must have been awesome...

Zumi: You did a pretty good job. It needs a proofread to fix missing words etc., but it was good and certainly worthy. One thing I think you should mention is Sjax's "Post 6666" rant.

Yeah, I would've loved to be a part of this site in 2008. Also, thanks for the mention. I'm so happy...I'd like to thank the Academy, my mom *tear* for always being there for me, Zumi for writing this, and jacobye46 for starting this thread and *tear* inspiring me to write season logs...and most of all *tear* thanks to everyone back in the forums! YOU ROCK! *bursts out crying as the MLBPP 2008 credits music rolls*

BUT SERIOUSLY, I am getting the Japanese MLBPP 2009 so I can play it on my modded Wii, so the forums are far from dead yet! 2011, BRING IT ON!!!! :jump2:

The only thing I'll be remembered for is SimYard, the longest thread in the history of this fourm, which is cool xD

Changed that for you, sjax. :P

I don't think I'll be remembered for anything yet, which deeply saddens me. :( I don't know, though, there's always the Music topic, but that's only, what, 21 pages long?

Just looked back at the rant... reading it now, it seems a bit too harsh. But then, maybe that was the point...
