Matsuka loses it

Image – Atsushi Fujii

Nagoya Dome, Nagoya – The Tigers new rookie pitchers both played in today’s game, Yoshimi went an inning without giving up a run, whereas Matsuka went 2/3 of an inning, and gave up the winning 3 runs. On a homerun. By Atsushi Fujii. And because of this loss, the Tigers are now tied with the Dragons for 3rd place. Both teams are now .500 for the year. Great. We spoke to Matsuka after the game, he said “I screwed up, I gave him an easily hittable breaking ball up in the zone, and I paid for it.” But on the bright side, Tani went 4-5 with 2 homeruns, and 5 RBI. Tani’s looking like himself again! Also, The Tigers newest addition, Hidekazu Hoshi went 2-4, with a double in his first game with the Tigers, and of the season. He singled in his first at-bat.

CL UPDATE:

1. Yokohama BayStars (13-10-1) --

Tigers lose to Giants. Again.

Image – Shun Tohno
Image – Michihiro Ogasawara

Koshien Stadium, Nishinomiya, Hyōgo – The Tigers lost yesterday, to an opponent that they always lose to. The Giants. Yes, in yesterday’s game the Tigers were being shut out for 8 2/3 innings, but luckily good ol’ Tani blasted a homerun to center with 2 outs in the 9th, to give us a run! Yay!

Also, Matt Murton had a nice diving catch, to start a double play in the 4th, and same with Adamsky. Only, his catch saved a run! Huzzah!

I'm going to take a break from this for a little while, as I am making some players to add to the team.
I'll start this back up either this week or after thanksgiving.

Finally, I'm starting this back up again, as I do not have school tomorrow :D
Well, here ya go, hope you like it.

May 13, 2012
"Okay guys, it's obvious that both Kanemoto and Arai are struggling this season. Kanemoto has 1 homerun! One! And Arai's batting near .200. So, with Preston's assistance, I have come up with a solution." I said to my bosses.
"Now, it is pretty clear that Kanemoto and Arai aren't the only ones who are struggling, the starting rotation is doing poorly, and so is most of the lineup. So because of this, I feel that within the coming draft we draft a starting pitcher, a first baseman, and a third baseman."
The whole room went silent, they were shocked I would consider moving out the two most experienced players on the team of the lineup.
The Owner spoke, he said "Jack, now just what are you doing?"
"H-huh?" I murmured
"We can't just move Kanemoto and Arai out of the lineup."
"Yeah, why's that?"
"They're the most experienced, they can do a lot with to help the team."
"Sir, with all due respect, they can be of just as much help on the bench, mentoring the younger players, which is most of team now."
"Oh.. Oh alright, I understand now, carry on."
"Thank you sir."
I went on with my presentation as planned, showing them the 3 players I had in mind for the draft.
"Well first off is a first baseman, Ryo Katsuki"
I showed them a slide all about him.

Ryo Katsuki
AGE, YEARS PRO, POSITION, 2ND POSITION, B/T, TRJ, CON, POW, RUN, ARM, FLD, E RES
22, 0, 1B, N/A, L/L, 3, C, B, B, C, C, C

Bio: Playing in the shadow of his great brother, Tetsuji, he didn't disappoint. Ryo lead his team to the qualifying rounds of the Koshien, only to be knocked out by a tie, he almost ended it with a homer in the bottom of the 11th, but alas, he did not. He is currently being looked at by the Dragons, and the Giants.

"So with him, I'm obviously planning on replacing Kanemoto with him. I think that he could help a lot, with his well balanced style of play, and his abilities against left handed pitchers will really screw up the opposing team."
Everyone was clapping.
"Oh, and you know his brother mentioned? Yeah, he's the second one I'm looking at drafting."
I pulled up a slide about him.

Tetsuji Katsuki
AGE, YEARS PRO, POSITION, 2ND POSITION, B/T, TRJ, CON, POW, RUN, ARM, FLD, E RES
24, 0, OF, 1B/3B, S/R, 2, C, D, C, A, B, B

Bio: Tetsuji has a completely different style of play then his brother, he focuses more on the fielding aspect of the game, though he is no stranger to hitting a ball over the fence, Tetsuji can play third excellently, and can also be a great help in the outfield.

"With Tetsuji I'm planning on placing him at third, since he has both an excellent arm, and his brother will be playing first. Also, they have stated is both of them, or neither of them, so if we get one, we've got 'em both!"
Everyone clapped again.
"I've got one more player that I've had Preston keep a close eye on, his name is Mikita Kajimoto."
I showed them my third, and final slide.

Mikita Kajimoto
AGE, YEARS PRO, B/T, TOP SPD, CON, STAM, PITCHES
25, 0, R/R, 142 km/h (88 mph), B, B, Hard Slider - 1, V-Slider - 3, Slow Curve - 1

Bio: His stuff isn't amazing, but he was known back in high school for his ways of getting out of tight situations.

"Alright, now with him, I was think anywhere from 3-5 in the rotation, we're having a lot of trouble there, so maybe he'll be able to help us out."
Everyone in the room clapped for a third time, and the meeting was dismissed.
Afterward, I went home, put on my pajamas (even though it was only 15,00), grabbed a coffee, and went onto the computer, to watch some videos on the people I may be drafting this season.

Take them all if you can, otherwise, I'd go for the 2 brothers.

Oh, I'm getting them all (that is if I get 3 import cards, if not, I'll get the brothers if I get 2, and the Kajimoto if I only have one.) :D
