So now [tm], you can tell me stuff that you think I should do, and if you want to do any real research (you don't have to, but if you want to) go to this site: http://japanesebaseball.com/
It's really cool, and has all of the teams and stats.

Another possible site is: http://www.npb.or.jp/eng/
It basically does the same thing, so either choice is fine (again, this is fully optional).

I like those sites, they are very resourceful. :D

I agree, they are excellent, and have been great help for learning about Japanese baseball, PPJ, if you want to use these, you can.

Sorry for the week-long drought, here comes an update. :DD

June 15

I awoke in a strange state.
Stuffy, thought pain, and light-headed. A cold. Great. A cold.
I trudged down to the bathroom, looked into the mirror, and saw my sick self. I thought "My mother must have given this to me when she visited last week." My brother was still visiting, and actually, he was avoiding me. For understandable reasons. He can't get sick, for he's leaving in a couple of days. Along with me, hopefully.
I took some medicine, and hoped for the best. Though I just had a gut feeling that this would be one of those colds that goes away for like 2 days, then comes back. Something that, with my poor immune system, has been happening to me for my entire life. And I've gotta say. It's really annoying.
My phone rang, I looked at my phone, and it was the owner. I forgot, my week-off was over. "Craaaap" I thought to myself.
I reluctantly picked up, and said (stuffy-ily) "Moshi moshi"
"Oh, God, Jack you sound horrible." The owner said
"Thanks, sir. I think I caught a cold."
"Well that sure is a bummer. I just got a call from Preston, he found an excellent looking kid, and I want him. His name is Fumihiko Saito. He's one hell of a hitter, well, contact wise. He batted .700 in high school. .700!"
"What?!"
"I know! But anyway, it isn't just contact hitting he's good at, he's a good base-runner, and a good fielder. The only downside about him is that he's got no power. Here I'll e-mail what Preston said about him. Call me back when you've come to a decision. But make sure it's within the next few days! We've gotta make sure we make room for him if we're going to pick him up."
"Why? Where does he play?"
"Second. And nothing else."
"But, wait. What about Hirano?"
"That's the only reason I'm opposed to this, Hirano's good, but maybe this kid will help a bit more. Maybe."
"I dunno, I'll have to talk to Preston, and Todd about this."
"Alright, I understand Jack, call me with your decision."
"Okay sir, I will. Goodbye"
"Bye."
He hung up, and I went to my computer, coffee in hand, slippers on, and rockin' the nice pink robe my mother left at my house.
Preston's email was surprisingly detailed, and LONG. It was a good decision to hire him.
It went like this:
"Hello Mr. Owner sir.
I was just informed by a friend of mine, who's daughter is the manager of the Pawafour University, about someone named Fumihiko Saito. Now, he's one really good ballplayer. A 4-tool player, he's got no power whatsoever, BUT he batted .700 over the course of his 3 years playing there. The highest in school history. Now, with that alone isn't enough to make it into the major leagues. He was also the captain, and in that year he was captain, he led the team to the Koshien, and they made it to the championship, only to lose to the very powerful Mori Igari, and the rest of the Akatsuki Akatsuki team. Igari threw a complete game, and also homered. I think that he's the best hitter on the team, along with being the best pitcher. It's no wonder the Giant's snatched him up at their first chance. But anyways, Igari had a no-hitter into the 8th, and Saito broke it up. I also heard from my friend that Igari, and Saito have been rivals since middle school. So, it seemed that this was the perfect person to break up the no-hitter. But it was nothing, one other person got a hit in the game, the final score: 2-0. That was a couple of years ago. I'm sure Saito has gotten better. The only problem is that he plays second, and isn't known to be able to play anywhere else. Though I'm sure he could play third, he's got the arm. Regardless, I think that he's really good, but I don't know if we should replace Hirano with him, that's up to Jack anyways. He'll be entering the draft next year, I just thought I would let you know.

Regards,
Preston Greene

STATS:
NAME, POSITION, 2ND POSITION, NUMBER, TRJ, CON, POW, RUN, ARM, FLD, E RES
Fumihiko Saito, 2B, N/A, 43, 1, A (15!), F, B, C, C, B"

"Wow, he's good." I said out loud while reading it, I have no idea whether or not to draft him. I called Preston to enhance my knowledge about him, and his mannerisms, and such. We spoke for a while, I was still in limbo, but Preston said:

What does Preston say?:
1. Draft him! Draft him! He's really good!
2. Well, Hirano is good and all, but I think that this kid will add to the team, whether he be a backup for a while, and ease into the starting role, or is thrown right into the starting role.
3. I have no idea, do whatever you want.
4. No.
5. Who are we talking about?

2. In the game, you can always transfer him to another position, so you can keep Hirano at 2B. Even while he's on the bench, he can be a very good pinch hitter. Once you develop his power a bit more, you can move him into the lineup, preferably batting 2nd. I see potential in him, especially at his young age.

"No problem sir."
I hung up. I shall see how Hirano does the rest of this season, and make an educated decision on this Saito situation.

(Oh, PPJ, I've decided that I'll do this from now on for situations with you in it, hopefully that's ok with you :) )

What were Hirano's ratings again?

WP: Taiyo Fujita (4-2)
LP: Tsuyoshi Moriyama (5-4)

Nishinomiya Sports

The 8th inning is now “The Death Inning”

Image

Seibu Dome, Tokorozawa, Saitama – The Tigers bullpen (again) loses it for them. And once again in the 8th inning. Manager Akinobu Mayumi who is usually a very calm, and well reserved person had this to say “The [expletive] bullpen [expletive] screwed up again. I mean come on! And what’s up with the [expletive] 8th inning? Can we skip that one from now on? I’m done.”

Wow. But, I agree with him. What’s up with the pitching? Where is the pitching, I guess this team really is like the Red Sox.
