Meh, why not? It's free verse, no rhyming, just for the record. Poems don't HAVE to rhyme. :P

I stand on the beach, nobody in sight
The sand sitting beneath me shifts at the slightest movement
Trying in vain to suck me in, swallow me whole
A storm is approaching, the clouds shouting my name
A chorus of breezes and raindrops, never stopping for breath
And yet I stand firm as the whirlwind wanders closer
My thoughts fade to you, those daggers of memories
Piercing my heart with every past vision
We were inseparable, unstoppable, until we weren't
Immortal, until mortality delivered payback
I can hear your voice now, blended in with the ambience
Just another primal scream echoing down from the heavens
The water ebbs and flows beneath my feet
Scrubbing them constantly but never cleansing them
And the realization strikes me like a thunderbolt to the spine
Nothing is built to last, and nothing ever does
And you're proof.

Here, I'll post a short little limerick I made a long time ago:

There once was a boy named Lee
So idiosyncratic was he
He ran so fast
But always finished last
Now, how can that be?

Not very good, doesn't really follow the rules :P

What does idiosyncratic mean? Otherwise, it does make sense. It's decent!

–noun, plural -sies.
1. a characteristic, habit, mannerism, or the like, that is peculiar to an individual.

- Dictionary.com

That's what it means! :D
(I also had no idea)

My school had "outdoor movie night" tonight. They kept saying, "It's free!... after you buy a $3 ticket!" I went anyway. We saw Iron Man 2. It was pretty fun. I also got extra popcorn for free because they had leftovers at the end. :P

I think at the end of the movie, they should've turned off all the lights so we could just see all the stars. That sounds totally corny, but I still bet it would've been awesome.

I have to buy Homecoming tickets today. It's fifteen bucks per couple. Is that a high price or a low one? IDK.

:bump:

My school had movie night last night where they showed two movies: "Yours, Mine and Ours" and "Billy Madison." They edited Billy Madison to PG, so you couldn't even tell what movie you were watching.

Wow. That's really stupid. I think you would be able to take Billy Madison at your age. I guess the school thinks otherwise...

There once was a man from Dundee
whose limericks ended on line three.
He was weird.

Basketball season started today. We have a lot of 7th graders that didn't play last year playing. They aren't very good. :|

So today we had an assembly about sexting, cyber-criminals, etc. The cop that was talking to us tried to make an example of how easy it was to attack a high-schooler on facebook.

So say I wanna go after... What's a random name? uh... ****** *****.
Then the entire school started freaking out. Remember when I told you one of my XC coaches was a sex offender? Well, ****** ***** was the name of the girl that he... uh... yeah.
