Who's complaining  ? Even if it were in the manual, we'd still be able to go into more detail than the manual ever could. There are so many nuances in the game that if the manual even touched the surface it wouldn't fit in the case. They'd have to sell it as a strategy guide.

I'd like to know how much 2K Sports is involved in development; Is the MLP PP franchise branching off from the Jikkyou Powerful Major League series with 2K taking over development completely, or will it remain more of a localization of Konami's game?

They already closed the thread so I guess they didn't want too many questions, sorry. But, I would think it would just be a localization because I doubt 2k would add the MLB life if they were developing it completely.

I did post this in a different thread, but since this is where some of you guys asked the questions I'll post it here...
http://www.operationsports.com/forums/b ... 2038535547

I may go through the blog and post the answers on here, but no guarentee, if I do, it will probably be tomorrow.

No downloadable rosters this year.

You can only create players in success mode, can't do it outside of the mode still.

Nothing announced for next-gen consoles yet, but it's in discussion.

In Arrange Mode, are there more stadiums and logos to choose from?: Basically what you had last year.

Is the Season Mode longer than 10 seasons? No.

Is it easier to draw a walk this year: Tweaked the AI to make it feel as real as possible. (That's not a yes or no).

Will the fielding mechanics be changed at all this year in the Wii version: You can now shift defensive players before the pitch to adjust for pull hitters etc. Also the fielding gameplay was tweaked a bit.

During contract negotations in the Life mode, you do have to remember certain things like if you donate to charity after hitting each HR. AKA make sure you negotiate for enough money.

There are milestones you need to meet in Success Mode.

How do you think dating will resonate with the gamers: It's a pretty quick experience, but it doesn't get way too deep, and you can just bypass it for the most part if you choose.

How does Life mode compare to other career modes: You're really taking on the entire player's life. Insert O RLY?? picture here. It's also just a whacky and quirky mode due to Japanese influence.

How does Motion Plus change the experience moving forward?: Just like everyone else Rob didn't know about it so he can't say much yet. He's excited about it though.

DS will support wireless and DL play. No online play on any platforms.

And you can do 1-on-1 local play on PS2 and Wii.

MSRP: 29.99 for DS, 19.99 for PS2, 39.99 for Wii

Ton of unlockable stuff this year: pitching and batting stances for the created players, baseball cards. There are also 7 new stadiums.

Announcing question: Tweaks have been made to the commentary, it sounds "great" this year.

Roster updates question: You can move the players via the Arrange Mode and all that. He didn't say what the date was when the rosters were finalized.

Is there any chance of Pro Yakuyu Spirits being brought over since Konami publishes that too? Rob says, no plans as of now but you never know.

The Wii and PS2 versions of the game are the same modes-wise.

How different wll the DS version be than the console versions? Rob says, you'll still be able to do everything control-wise, which isn't really a difference is it?*note from me(makes little sense, according to 2k site there's no succes, mlb life, or season mode)

MLB: Life is the other new mode. You can either create a new character, or your character from Sucess Mode, or an existing player. Build the career from scratch and take part in everything a baseball player does. It's a 10-year mode. *note from me(only 10 years??? I thought it was 20, I guess we'll have to wait and see, but that's dissapointing if it's only 10 years)

Two big new modes are the RPG ones, one is a redone Success Mode with new storyline and characters. The end goal being get him to the major leagues, whereas last year it was just get the character to the minors.

The game is being published by Konami overseas, and then by 2K in NA. This game tends to come out in Japan a while before it does here since it is a Japanese game.

That's everything they covered, I accidentally started from the bottom and went up but it doesn't matter only a few answers are based on one's before it, if any.

Yeah that's strange. Can't really build a record breaker in 10 yrs. Why is it that every other person in the gaming world said 20? Who's lying?

Yeah, some records wouldn't be impossible but the harder ones like total hits, Ks, wins and things like that would be impossible. Damn shame if it's only 10 years. Then again, I have a short attention span and I'd probably get bored after a couple years.

Well, the person that was in the conference call answering questions was Rob Nelson the producer of the game, so I would take it to be true if it was from him. But, it could've been mistyped or something, atleast that's what I hope or a misunderstanding by Mr. Nelson. I really would be dissapointed if it was only ten years.

If it's only 10 years for my life mode, I might just wait for Mario Super Sluggers.

I don't know, I mean it will still be fun, but it won't be as much fun if it's only 10 years, I'm still going to get it no matter what, but I really hope it's 20 years. The thing that dissapointed me a ton is season mode is only 10 years again.

I really don't understand why it's ten years for both modes when it could easily (and should be) twenty. It would make things more of an investment. Oh well.
