The process would involve a ISB Drive and either uLaunchElf/FreeMcBoot (I have this method) Or an Action Replay of some kind. Simply Transfer the PS2 save from the Memory Card > USB Drive. From there, the save could be uploaded to the PC from the USB Drive. Has anyone considered this?

That would be a raging river of awesomesauce. I have wondered about doing exactly that, usually when grinding out a batch of manual edits, but I lack the tech savvy. If you can figure out how to do this, and it works, please let me know.

One of the most common underbars that Zumi forgot is the Grey underbar, which designates that this player was created by the game itself, whether it be at the beginning of an expansion team or at the June Draft.

You probobly already knew this, but I wanted to make sure you did

Zumikaku, Lightningman, thanks for your responses; it's all very clear to me now! Oh, one more question: When editing a pitcher's pitch types, what does the number (1-5) to the right indicate? Well, I have been both editing and importing players like crazy, but my god... there's so much catching up to do, haha. Having said that, I have access to all of the players' stats/abilities from Jikkyou Powerful Major League 2009, thus I often take the player info from 2009 in order to create the player in 2008. If ANY of you guys would like the official stats/abilities of a player that was not created in 2008, I can check his 2009 setup for you. Just let me know!

Eric Davis 44, thanks for your reply to the Base Save question! Going back to how much time it takes to update the rosters; yes, if someone has an Arrange Teams with relatively updated roster, it would elevate Power Pros 2008 light years ahead by enabling anyone interested in keeping updated rosters to easily get that base start. The amount of work that this community has put in editing this game is absolutely EXTRAORDINARY. In fact, I read in a Season Post that a member was using 2010 updated rosters for his season. If only he could post his save file online... :)

I have done extensive work with PS2 software; I am currently playing both MLB Power Pros 2008/Jikkyou Powerful Major League 2009 off of my PS2 Hard Drive rather than using the DVD in order to preserve my console laser (It's a fat PS2), although I do own the game in hard copy as well as on Wii. The process for transferring save files is tremendously simple, yet it requires an Action Replay and a USB Flash Drive. Do you have a base save, Eric Davis 44? If so, I can run through the steps for transferring your PS2 Save to PC for the members to download.

Don't get me wrong, I love MLB Power Pros for the customization; furthermore, in absolutely NO WAY am I trying to undermine any of the members or the tremendous amount of work that they have put in to this game. Yet, are there members in the community that would agree that a base save would do wonders for this series, especially in the event that 2K decides not to put out a 2011 version?

I look forward to hearing any input, thanks again for the help as well guys.

HOW did I remember the light blue bar, yet forget that? Thanks, LM

The 1-5 in the pitching roles represents your rotation. The starter you put at 1 will start on opening day, followed by the #2 starter, then 3, etc. You can also put more pitchers in the starting roles and have a 6 or 7 man rotation. Most of us reccomend a 6-man rotation, as the pitchers in PP tend to get tired after 70 or so pitches. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. We're all ready to help. :)

Yeah, that stuff's explained during Season mode right at the beginning.

Base save? It sounds like a baseball statistic. Seriously, I can make Excel do backflips but I am computer illiterate beyond that. I have no idea what a base save is or what to do with it. Can I download the software for free?
