Oh...I've learned that bats and gloves carry abilities that make you better at baseball...

I learned that the University of Hawaii's baseball field is called Rainbow Beach Stadium (I'll visit it for you guys!) :D

The captain of a team of track runners isn't much faster than the captain of a team of professional eaters.

You can lose all games during the season and still win the championship.

Even if you have three catchers on the bench, your starting shortstop is always a more acceptable option.

"Pitcher" is just a shortened version of "pinch hitter." (I remember looking at the end-of-season stats for my Twins Log, and I was dumbfounded to see 5 pitchers that had HRs, in the AL!)

That a player would need to have a random event in order to see a sports medicine doctor (Dr Goodjob). And that a doctor can speak of believing in aliens and prophets and be psychologically sound enough to keep her job

Honestly, you'll need to do a push bunt to get a bunt hit, or have extreme speed.

I use push bunts all the time. I push straight at the pitcher and if its outside it will fly over the advancing second baseman.

Back on topic anyway...

Your scrub teammate knows a little too much sometimes, like the fact that your in a video game...

I learned that if you see a woman walking her dog in the park, there is a chance they are dating . . . and if they are dating? Well then, the aforementioned woman is likely the ghost of a dog in human form that enjoys hamburger eating contests, giant steaks, and rewarding junior private investigators with magic baseball equipment and bags of magic jewelry and other random stuff for finding her canine boyfriend, who loves her so much that he runs away from her between 1 and 3 times per week.

That a pinch hitter is always needed in the bottom of the 7th or 8th no matter what the score is, and a runner with the same speed can replace a guy on base(A pinch runner came in with 7 speed, the same as the last guy on base!)
