I am not saying Daniel Murphy is better than David Freese, and I am not saying that Joe Mather is better than Daniel Murphy, what I am saying is that Joe Mather is better than David Freese, and Daniel Murphy would benefit if he moved to third base.
... so if what you say is true, then why don't the Mets trade Murphy for Mather? It would make much more sense for both teams and "solves" (assuming the above mentioned) both teams' problems, without the controversy over trading the stars.
