I've been away, studying, working, living life, etc.

Not knocking you guys, I'm glad if you have the free time to post here and help get Power pros Stateside once again. And I mean it.

For nostalgia stake or what have you, I am providing links to two reviews of Power Pros & Power Pros 2008 for the WII reviewed by G4 aka X-Play.

How about some constructive thought on this matter?

Let's see we could:

1. Group buy the Japanese version of Power Pros 2009 and save because we're all buying in bulk.

2. Get a fan translation site to make a translation

And tell them we have like 50 or so guys that will pay you X amount($20-40?) to buy the game and make it free shipping, it'll work.

That second one, not sure, but look, Fire Pro Wrestling Returns had it's English patch WAY before it was officially released out here, so maybe there's hope.

there really is no quick link to the gyst, there's no real fight because the tools on 2ksports don't want to reply to our message and just delete our posts and people's real problem with buying the game is getting them through torrents which are legally dangerous

All we can hope is that 2ksports releases info in a few weeks/months. I remember awhile ago a 2ksports guy said that they weren't releasing this because there were too many 2ksports game out this year(they all SUCKED though) and he said maybe there's a chance for this year

We won't get news for a few months likely(if it is coming out) but we still don't even have news of the Japanese version(which has come out in the last like 10 years)

On 2008 we got the news around may I believe that power pros 2008 was coming out, We can only hope that 2ksports comes around and releases it to the USA. All they need to do is take the Japanese version, translate it and send it here which they were too lazy to do

If I can say this:

Konami seems like they have all their cards in a deck, and 2k Sports seems to be the odd ball, but do we have an update from Konami themselves? They haven't announced anything for 2010 other than Pawapuro Success Legends for PSP.

You would think that even with 511 and counting that have signed that Petition

I wonder if the Japanese really like Americans having their series, seeing as how other companies with series such as Super Robot Wars and Fire Pro Wrestling, etc. RARELY translate or even sign deals to get them over here.

Great Studios like Working Designs fold up and then what are we left with when other companies over here(Yes I blame them too) that are slow to get anything translated and over here?

Is it that difficult to translate and bring over? Or is the occult like fan base not big enough to even care about?

Do the Japanese want too much up front that it's hard to make a profit on translating and localization of these titles?

Guy's, it's just getting obnoxious. It's not going to happen, or at least it's any more likely if we do this. All you guys can do is hope, but that's it. It's just a game, even if it's a very good game. There's other things out there. Other games. And life. So live it haha, and forget about power pros. Power Pros 10 isn't going to mean that much. And you're overreactions, only half-serious or not, talking about riots or even attacking 2k representatives, sound crazy and way too fanatical. Look it's not like there is anythig going to come out of that, but you really want those type of quotes on the internet, where they can easily be traced back to you. So please, try to move on guys, It's been 2 years. If it does one day come out, then the more you think about it, the longer it wil take (psychologically) to come out.

I've gotten over it, and, frankly, it's pretty easy to do. I've really gotten into the Mario games lately (Mario Super Sluggers, New Super Mario Bros. Wii) and they're pretty fun. I've only got back into PP just last week, and it's still a pretty fun game, and I'm not trading PP 07 and 08 anytime soon.

My point: Getting over it is pretty easy.

Also, translating is just a quickfix. They also need to change character designs and cultural references (Heck, who wants American game with Japanese culture mixed in) also.

I wouldn't mind some Japanese culture mixed in, I think it would be cool.

But 511 people is not nearly enough to make a video game. Let's say each game sells for 40 US dollars. 511x40=20440. That is $20,440. It costs millions of dollars to make video games, plus translation costs and shipping costs and taxes and stuff. That would make zero sense for the gaming developers.

Yeah I did get over it awhile ago and I could care less about 2k now, I have nothing bad to say anymore about them but there were a few contreversial things they did though

But one reason I want power pros 2010 because it also saves the board which for sone reason I want to return somewhat to normal. If it doesn't then fine I have a life after this which is the thing you're(cownip) getting us to which is 100% true
