Dap61 Grades Grizzlies Performance
While its obvious the Grizzlies have been good this year, starting 39-11, they are in one of the toughest divisions in the Metro League. The South Division has all its members over .500. Shortstop Wallace Blankenship has 19 steals, Starter Wilson Stanley has a Metro Leading 10 wins, and closer Robert Bohnsack has 11 saves.

Secondbaseman Lyle Sievert, who is hitting .456, said this:
Quote:
We have had a great run so far through 50 games. We have the pieces to make a run for the playoffs.

Starter William Jackson, who is 4-1 with 65 Strikeouts said this:
Quote:
I Pitch, They Hit, We Win. Its as Easy as that.

Dap61 Said this:
Quote:
If the Cats lose the playoff race, we will send down players to try to win a AAA championship. But Major is our priorty.

Grade: A-, About as good as it could be

I asked about this is chat and they said that if you did that, they would kick you out of the league. They asid it is really infuriating to see guys send down their best players to the minors to win a championship. 2 or 3 guys is alright if you send them down now, but they said if you send down the whole roster it is very cheap, especially if you wait until the playoffs to do it. Just warning you.

I never said all players. I might send down my 1B and DH because I have 2 19 year olds playing those positions right now in AAA. My pitching is fine

Interact is always a jerk. I haven't gotten a single usuable player from interact all season. And I've been interacting every day since spring training.

Stars Shock Strokes!
The Strokes were fighting for a second straight playoff berth. The Stars were fighting for respect. The game was close going into the ninth. 3-1 Strokes. But the Strokes bullpen couldn't hang on to a lead and made it a 4-3 ball game. The Strokes couldn't make a comeback in the bottom of the ninth, and thus the Stars beat the Strokes, at the Strokes.

Chi Dukes, the pitcher who came in and got the save, said this:
Quote:
Wow, I was warming up, then coach told me to sit down, its over, 3-1. Then he yelled "GET UP, ITS 3-3! WE JUST TIED IT!!!!" The atmosphere shifted. The whole place was silent and in total shock.

Manager Sjax had this to say:
Quote:
No Comment on the bullpen's performence. Any other questions?

dap61 was in Oceanside getting ready for the Grzzlies-Stonewalls game.

I suppose I'll comment for the sake of the log ;)

"We played a great game... for 8 innings.
I don't know what happened to my guys, it's not like they're my worst relievers.
The Stars just wanted it more than us.
Might I add that we had runners on second and third with 2 out before Sanchez's game-ending K?
I really need to shift my lineup around, guys like Ronald Chenault and Bryant Sanchez are just not producing in the clutch."

Madsen Drops Ball, Stars Can't Hold on.
The Stars were invited to play a game against Leeroy Jenkins, a top 53 team. It was 4-2 Stars going into the ninth when the bullpen gave up two runs. Then, in the bottom of the 12, Matthew Romer came in and got a quick double play with bases loaded. Then, an easy pop fly turns into the winning runs. Donald Madsen lost the game for the Stars.

Donald Madsen:
Quote:
We were just happy to be THAT close. We laughed it off and got over it.
