If there's no "random" option for a starting team, you can always randomize it yourself. Heck, maybe some bored guy will write a quick web app that can do it for you depending on your position and stats.

You could close your eyes and move the joystick around randomly. Although if I picked the Yankees I would start over.

I'd definitely start with the Mets, and I'd reload if I got traded to Philly or Atlanta, but anywhere else, I'd deal with it, try to succeed there, and then try to resign with the Mets at free agency time.

I don't think there will be a "random" since we start out in AA ball. Maybe next year they will have us back in College, how well we do depends on where we go in draft, and then work our way up form AA.

My Life actually has nothing to do with the storyline in Success Mode after you've created a player than it doesn't go straight to My Life you then have to register them before you start and in Success we will always be on the same team i think they were called the Green Apples

if i get traded from the braves, ill just live with it, and later on in my career try to get back on it to finish my career on the braves.

I could have sworn on the Wii version if you pressed L + R pads on the Classic Controller it would select a random team in exhibition mode.

Haha, well most of you guys aren't Yankee or Sox fans, are you? That changes everything.

That wouldn't make a difference unless you were traded to the other team of that rivalry.

started out with red sox as a pitcher.changed myself to a closer.didnt do too badly

but no run support.go traded to seattle and to top it off was demoted to AAA.

bummed!!

I wish Boston would trade my 1B. I want out pretty bad.

i did too,because the cpu controlled sox couldnt hit for beans!!
but they are the home town team.
