lets see Schneider is E contact(7), D power(109)
He has Tough Out, Rally Hitter,Clutch Hit 2, And Poor Rain
And his stance is Open 14

Stances are a mystery this year. RYan Howard should hit 40+ homeruns every year with the 234 power I give him and add power hitter, slugger, and all the other power stats and he hits 35 on average.Hamilton. A.Gonzalez and Berkman don't move in their stances and editing them ends with a .235 season with like 20-30 homeruns and editing their stances from not moving, to somewhat moving changes those stats. And I also wonder how Rickie Weeks hits 30 homeruns and hits over .300 with E contact, C power and 3 trajectory, maybe his stance

I do think they have a decision over how guys hit but in this game E contact and F contact hitters hit like .300 and B copntact and A contact can't hit .260, its wierd especially when in 2007 guys' contact would decide them, like G contact would hit you .180 and Mauer and Guerrero hit .400 like it was normal

I think the ability "Good Eye" makes a difference. You always notice A-Rod with his insanely unhuman batting stuff. Manny too, same thing with Jeter and Posada. They all have Good Eye and some like of Contact Hitter/Power Hitter/Intimidator...My guys from success got like way better stuff than them, but they dont have Good Eye which causes them to be one level lower.

hmm I'll look into that for Howard

I don't think it might be stances, but it might be. Pujols (Open), A-Rod (Normal), Soriano (Closed) all do well consistantly. Players like Ichiro and Ortiz never seem to hit well in the game for me. I think it might have something to do with position. 1st base sucks, 2nd base sucks, left field and center field. Notice in the draft how those 4 positions produce the sucky players while the other 4 produce wonderful players. However, there are exceptions and I think Star might play a role too.

Bonderman Comes Up Big As Pirates Fall in NLCS Opener

October 13 -- The Mets big offseason pickup dominated the Pirates with 7 innings today to give the Mets the NLCS game 1 victory. The Pirates, in the NLCS for the first time since 1992(first time in LDS era) scored their first run in the 1st inning with a sac fly by Jayson Werth but the Mets pitching dominated after. Bonderman hit into a run scoring double play in the 4th inning to tie the game and Carlos Beltran gave the Mets the lead in the 5th with a solo homerun off of Pirates starter Aaron Cook. The revamped bullpen took it from there as JJ Putz pitched a successful 8th inning and K-Rod finished off the 9th inning to preserve an always key Game 1 victory in the best of 7 series.

How are they both 2-2 if this is the NLCS opener?

That was their full postseason records

I'll just change it back to normal where it says their NLCS records now

and yet I still did it wrong before because they were 3-2..

Pirates In Yet Another Hole After Maine Goes The Distance

October 14 -- The Pirates are in another series hole as the Pirates will head to Pittsburgh down 2 games to 0. The Mets offense toppled Maholm early scoring 2 runs in the 1st inning by a Jeff Francouer double, he had been hitting .105 with 0 RBIs before this, an RBI single by Reyes in the 3rd inning and then a 2-run triple by Reyes in the 5th inning made it 5-0 through 5 innings. The star of the game was once again a Met's starter, this time John Maine going all 9 innings and allowing only one run, a homerun in the 6th by Werth. The Pirates offense has scored only 1 run in each of the first two games and need Ikari(.194, 0 HR), Pearce(.194, 0 HR) and Jones(.200, 1 HR) to wake up for something to start.

Vazquez Walk-Off Gives Pirates Life in Series

October 16 -- The Pirates won their first game of the NLCS with some more late inning magic. The Pirates got up 2-0 in the 2nd inning with a 2-run single by Garrett Jones but it was 2-1 in the 3rd inning with an RBI single by the red hot Daniel Murphy(.407 this posteason). Zach Duke was a warrior tonight but he let up a game tying RBI single in the 7th inning by Luis Castillo and Beltran hit his 2nd homerun this series to give the Mets the lead in the 8th inning and a chance to go up 3-0 in the series. But not so fast, the Pirates got late inning magic with a sacrifice fly for pinch hitter Alfredo Amezaga tied the game in the bottom of the 8th inning off of Putz. But with the double switch, a pinch hitting opportunity came up again and Ramon Vazquez was called on to get a chance to win the game with two outs, 2 guys in a tie game in the 9th. Ramon Vazquez came through with a single to left and the throw by Murphy was too late and the Pirates are now only down 2 games to 1. In another note, with a 23-3 massacre on the Red Sox, the White Sox find themselves up 3-0 in the ALCS.

Sanchez Dominates As Pirates Tie Series

October 17 -- The Pirates have come back to tie this series at 2 with a great performance by Anibal Sanchez. The Pirates scored first off of veteran Livan Hernandez with a 1st inning homerun by Mike Fontenot and in the second inning, Pearce and Doumit hit back to back doubles to take a 2-0 lead. 2 runs was more than enough for Anibal who threw 8 shutout innings and struck out 11 just like he did when the Pirates clinched game 5 in Florida. Huston Street blew a save his first chance back on game 4 of the NLDS with the Marlins giving up a 3-run homerun but he got the 1-2-3 inning while striking out Daniel Murphy to end the game and the Pirates will at least have a game 5 and 6, game 6 would be in New York. In other baseball news, for the 2nd time since 2008, the White Sox are going to the World Series after surprising everyone by sweeping the 102-60 Red Sox with a 3-2 win.

Ikari's Big Day Sends Pirates To New York Up 3-2

October 18 -- The Pirates have stormed back from a 2-0 series whole and are now one win away from going to the World Series. Susumu Ikari came into today hitting .173 with 3 RBI's this postseason but he had his best career postseason game with a sacrifice fly in the 1st inning and later a 2-run homerun in the 4th inning to lead 3-0 against Johan Santana who struck out a postseason high 12 hitters. Aaron Cook dominated for the Pirates this time throwing 7 shutout innings and Kevin Gregg pitched a scoreless 8th while Street closed it out in the 9th inning. For the Mets, they have just not scored runs in these 3 games at PNC Park. They scored 3 runs in the 1st game and have been shut out in the last 2 games by Anibal Sanchez and Aaron Cook and they now have to go back to New York for a game 6 trying to force a game 7.

Clement Plays Unlikely Hero As Pirates Go to World Series For First Time Since '79

October 19 -- The Mets offense struggled over the last 4 games and because of that, they got to watch the Pirates celebrate after winning the series 4 games to 2 and they will go to the world series for the 1st time since 1979. Garrett Jones hit his 1st NLCS homerun in the 3rd inning off of game 1 starter Jeremy Bonderman but the Mets tied it in the 4th with an RBI single by Jeff Francouer. The score stayed at 1-1 until the 8th inning when Mike Fontenot continued his amazing postseason with an RBI single to center field scoring McCutchen for the 2-1 lead. But it would be Jeff Francouer again with a 1 out homerun in the 8th against Tyler Yates who gave up just his 1st run this postseason to tie the game. Another interesting story was the Pirates starting catcher Jeff Clement over tired Ryan Doumit and Jeff Clement played the hero with a 2 out homerun, 1st career postseason homerun, to give the Pirates a 9th inning lead. Huston Street converted his 3rd save in his last 3 games to give the Pirates the series win when Jose Reyes grounded out to end the game and the Mets season which since 2008, has been finished in the world series and not this early. The Pirates will be set to play the White Sox who swept the 102 win Red Sox in the ALCS to go to the world series and for the 1st time ever, the National League team will have home field advantage in the world series because th National League finally won the all-star game.
