When I have a runner on first I hit into double plays VERY frequently. It is incredibly frustrating. Any suggestions on how to avoid this? I know I could send the runner from first earlier but invariably when I do that I hit a line drive that the infielder ends up doubling me up on because the runner at first didn't tag. Any other ideas?

I don't know how to avoid double plays, but I can help you turn a one out ground out into a fielder's choice and not get any outs.

You could try making yourself run faster by rapidly pressing B+Z, to potentially beat out the throw for the second out.

You need to be lifting balls out of the infield, not expecting grounders to slip through the gaps.

Running like the wind helps, and using "run and hit" (not hit and run) helps.
