I vote Garrett Jones for NL Rookie of the Year.

Yeah, but Wells was the Cubs' first 10-game winner. He would've had a better record if the lineup and bullpen didn't SUCK.

That means that Wells was the best on the Cubs, not among NL rookies. Actually it doesn't even mean that. Wins are the most overrated stat ever.

Wells has had a great year but Happ has done better in pretty much every category.

Speaking of Happ, he and Tommy Hanson have had the best rookie seasons for pitchers this year, but they kind of cancel each other out in different categories. For example, Happ has a better BB/9 but Hanson has a better K/9. Happ also has a better WHIP, ERA, and batting average against, but Hanson is very close in all three categories. However, voters may take into consideration the fact that Happ has been in the majors longer (both this season and the past two seasons) which perhaps might give Happ an edge over Hanson in terms of H2H performance because he knows the league better. although I guess it can be reversed in that way that the league also knows him better. My point here is that while both have had extremely good seasons for rookies and both deserve consideration for the award, they sort of cancel each other out in that neither was much more spectacular or deserving than the other.

Now my case for Coghlan: He leads all NL rookies in runs, hits, total bases, OBP, and batting average. He is also second in doubles. This all while playing in a pitcher's park.

The only other competition for hitters are: Garrett Jones, but his only case is that he leads all NL rookies in HR and slugging, plus he is hitting .300 but so is coghlan. Then we have Andrew McCutchen who is only hitting .279 with an OBP of .357. Those are fifth and sixth in the lweague among rookies respectively. Also we have Dexter Fowler who leads all NL rookies in doubles, trpiles, and stolen bases, but he also leads them in caught stolen. He is only hitting .270 which is seventh among NL rookies. Once again they have all been ok but none have blown away each other.

Now can you still disagree with Chris Coghlan? Give me a good case for someone else.

Another Yankees walkoff

I've given up completely on the division and have shifted into wild card mode

The Rockies are unstoppable right now! Seth Smith hit a 2 out, 2 strike, 2 run come from behind walkoff single to win it

You wish, man. Rockies have to slow down at one point. Plus, i don't think the Rockies will play the Cardinals if they make it.

I've officially given up on the Cubs, so I'm counting on the Rockies to ANNIHILATE the Cards in the playoffs.

The Mets can't win this year so I am rooting for the Giants because I was the only person in the world during the preseason who picked them to win the pennant and I don't want to look like an idiot. :P
