How would we grade our drafts on the PowerPros grading scale (G to A)?

WR: A- (Fitz, Welker, and Evans and all top 20 recievers)
TE: E (Pettigrew has talent, but not in a good offense)
D/ST: A+ (Steelers and Titans are top 5 Defenses)
K: D (Rackers is a kicker, nuff said)
P: A+ (Koch had 34 punts inside the 20 last year)

Bench: B (All servicable, and a sleeper in Shonn Greene)

I can see you all missed out on something I noticed, so I have a good feeling about this league.

Hawaii Islanders
QB- A
The Islanders got Drew Brees,
a proven great player, and Matt
Hasselbeck, who did poorly last
year but now has TJ
Houshmandzadeh in his arsenal.
Great.

RB- C+
Although the Islanders went
against standard fantasy knowledge
and did not go for stud runnning
backs, they got a solid three backs.

WR- B+
The Islanders receiving tandem
consists of multiple No. 1 recievers
in a different situation as last year,
and should be very good.

TE- B
Both Gates and Boss, the Islanders'
two TEs, were in the top 13 TEs last year.
Both show signs of getting the same results
this year.

K- D
The Islanders got Kris Brown as
their kicker, who is not among the
elite kickers, but this is a fair
sacrifice as kicker is considered to
be the least important position.

D/ST- C-
The Islanders may have picked
two of the best defenses in the
league, but they are both in the
same division, which will cause
some conflict.

P- A
Shane Lechler was the most
consistent punter last year, with
only one game with single-digit
fantasy points. He shows no signs
of a different outcome this year.

Please note the reason I did not say "I" is because Redsoxman is also a co-owner for the Islanders. Also, speaking in the third person is fun.

You still get a G for drafting Derrick Mason

For my team (btw, check out the league message board for my little topic):

QB: B
Matt Ryan is one thing, but getting McNabb, who's
essentially playing for his career, to go with him?
Surely ONE of them will play up to expectations.
The only hitch is the shared bye week, which can be overrated in terms of importance.

RB: B/B+
This all depends on which rookies pan out. The starting
core of RB's is good, but that's about it, especially if
Ward falters in Tampa. However, with 3 MORE RB's,
there's depth. And even though you're not supposed
to draft rookie RB's *coughadriancoughpetersoncough*,
all three have great opportunities, and are expected to
contribute immediately.

WR: C
The weakest part of the team. Roddy White is always
a great pick (as of 2008), and he could be anyone's #1
guy. Donnie Avery, though, is NOT a #2 guy, though he
has breakout potential with the new system and Jason
Smith protecting Bulger better. Plus, I needed a Ram.
The only other WR (this one on the bench) is Domenik
Hixon, who seems to be the Giants' #1 WR this year,
and the big-play guy to replace Burress. Not bad, but
not too good in a 10-team league.

TE: B+
Chris Cooley is easily the most underrated TE in all of
fantasy football. His TD's should rebound, making him
a borderline elite TE, just as he has been his career.

K: B+
Garrett Hartley, though he IS young, is going to be
playing for the best O in the league.

D/ST: B-
The Texans are looking pretty good with Mario, DeMeco,
and Amobi Okoye leading the way. They're not the best
picks, however, and though the Chargers have big names
and Antonio Cromartie returning kicks, they've slipped in
recent years...

Yes, I might be a little biased, but I really think my team not only looks great right now, but if a couple of my bench players break out, I could be all set.
Of course, this isn't counting a possible trade...
I will entertain your offers, by the way.

Uh, this isn't very important, but why didn't you include your punter? Judging from last year, it's the second most important position scoring wise (which is why I drafted Lechler so early).

Fantasy newbies get a free pass. However, vets should know: KNOW YOUR SCORING. I did, and found that QBs and punters are the most important positions.

My team:

QB: B
Cutler and Big Ben are both great QBs. One has a great recieving core and the other is a FA or a Trade away from a good one. Both are younger QBs

RB: A-
AP is Adrian Peterson, enough said. Ryan Grant is another nice back, Julius Jones will get more touches considerig whats going on in Seattle. Ricky Williams will have is moments behind Ronnie Brown.

WR: B
Hines Ward, Steve Smith, and Randy Moss is a nice core group, and if Crabtree performs like he did a Tech, then he'll be a nice addition, not to mention myFA pickup I'm working on. damn waivers

TE: C
Dallas Clark is good, but I have no depth there.

D/ST: B-
The Ravens and Vikings D are two good defenses with great kickers and punters.

K and P: B
Okay, Bironas and Maynard. They are kicdkers and punters
