I've heard that you should unplug the power cord from the Wii after turning it off in order to prevent over heating, is this true?

I heard that you shouldn't leave the 24/7 mode on because it is in sleep mode but it is actually like the hybernate function on your computer. So its actually on but in a low setting so it will stay hot.

I leave on 24/7 mode and it never overheats when I play.
