Baseball

Pitching

-Simply Flick the Wiimote to get 96-100 mph FB

-Change location of the pitch using the D-Pad

-To pitch sidearm, hold down 1 & 2 buttons till you feel a vibrate then press either 1 to pitch overhand or press 2 to pitch sidearm

-Remember to hold the button throughout the motion or else you'll throw a mistake pitch

-Have a good mix of pitches in your arsenal

-The splitter is a very good pitch to use to induce a ground out or a strike swinging

Batting
-On the higher levels watch out for the splitter, try to pick up on the drop BE PATIENT

-Destroy any Mistake Pitches

-Make the other pitcher sweat

-Have good timing and Bat Speed

Tennis

Get your serve timing down. Get the really fast serve every time. Start with your Wii-Remote behind your back. Press A, than swing at the right time.

-Have good timing ALWAYS

-Poach net shots with angular volleys

-Slice the ball by using a downwards slashing movement for a lower shot that is faster and hard to return

-For Backhands, get slightly in front of the ball to place it better crosscourt

-Have good timing on your serves to hit a smash serve that is really fast, but be ready for a possible fast return

Bowling

I'm a righty, so the ball spins left.

Find a spot where the break hits the area between pin 1 and pin 3, and aim for that spot and that power every time.

-To change the color of your ball hold down the D-Pad for one of these directions while the game is loading, Up for Blue, Left for Pink, Down for Green, and Right for Gold (not really a tip, but for looks)

-Be aware of how the ball spins, and practice controlling it

Golf

Techniques

Me_and_Lucy wrote:
Golf: Keep trying till you get your desired power. When it is a short putt, just hold the wii mote and sit down, it works.

-PRACTICE Swings to see how much you fill up the meter, and then try to duplicate that swing

-Don't overswing

Hole Strategies

Golf:
On hole 3, do NOT use the shortcut across. Instead, just cut across through the trees. It's way less risky and you have a good likelyhood of reaching the green in 2.
On hole 5, cheat a little in the same way as 3. Again, you can reach in 2.
On hole 9, use the wind to indicate if you should cut across to the lefternmost island. If it goes forward, go for it! If not, don't take the risk; go around, reach the green in three, and birdie or par.

-Don't take risks unless you know you can make a perfect swing

-Keep an eye on the wind.

-Practice the minigames for this one

-"Float like a butterfly, Sting like a Bee"

-Be aggressive but defensive at the same time

-Be aware at whats coming your way at all times

More stuff on the way guys, and write your own tips as well. We could also have Records and such for each, uh, event.

Such as, "Most K's"

or "Most Aces"

Get out there and dazzle. And don't say, "Uhh, I had nine K's two months ago." Must do it after this post.

I haven't played Wii Sports in over a year. My favorite was golf though. And great tips BTW.

I could never do Golf, whenever you were supposed to putt it never registered the swings until it went too far.

in tennis when you hit the ball with your backhand rotate the wiimote as you swing this will make the ball spin creating a slice and bounce away from the player. works the same way when doing a lob

in response to gunninhome: It took me a month to master this shot, but my tip is to twist your wrist towards the TV before the swing, and then flick the wrist downwards and forwards as you swing. Takes a lot of practice.

Get a hold for the "power serve". Hit the ball at the top of the serve to "power serve". Once you do it enough times, you'll be able to hit a power serve 75% of the time. Alternately, you can mix the power serve with a slow serve, which is to wait until the ball almost touches the ground before hitting it.

The three most important things in tennis are location, location, and cheese (j/k  ). When the opponent is on one side of the court, hit to the other by either swinging early or swinging late.

I hit the ball with the front guy about 75% of the time. With the front guy, you need lightning fast reflexes but it will pay off. At the front, you can change the direction of the ball drastically all at once. Your back guy should be there in case you miss a swing with the front guy. I like to volley with the front guy to one corner of the court, then suddenly change direction and fire it to the other corner. I score 60% of my points this way.

When hitting with the back guy, wait until the ball bounces before you swing. You'll be surprised at how many balls that look like they're in the court actually are out.

Tennis is the only game that I am worth a crap at. I have a 2300 rating in Wii Tennis.

I can offer one piece of advice for bowling: When looking for a power throw, you can hold down the B button and throw OVERHAND. It will take practice to time the release correctly, but you'll see the ball barreling down the lane like you've never seen before.

hey, you gave lance credit for my tip!
also, in boxing, keep your arms up while punching to shield yourself a little, and make good use of uppercuts and hooks.

When playing tennis, at the warning screen after selecting characters ("please make sure that you have room to swing", etc) press down 2 to play on the blue training court.

more tips can be found at this link (although I haven't tried most of them):

for tennis, when you're faced with a backhand shot, sometimes it helps if you (as a person, not a mii) swing backhand too.

definitely. You should ALWAYS swing backhand at a backhand shot.
