look i mainly want to know if it aint coming out, why isnt? and to hope they tells us its coming out next month but why wait another month wouldnt you want know about asap so you can get pre-orders, and like get a fanbase that will wait outside the store to buy it (harry potter) it just seems odd

2K is a business. They need to make a money. It all comes down to dollars and cents. Do you guys ever think about the larger picture? Sure, some of you guys like the game and will buy it, but will anybody else? We're in the middle of a recession. 2K can't take a large loss on developing a game, so they're focusing on what will generate some profit.

Let's look at it this way...

Let's say the Bigs generated 25 dollars when it came out and continues to do that for twelve months.

That's three hundred dollars.

Power Pros generates fifty dollars when it's released, but sales drop dramatically from there and they only make five dollars a month for twelve months.

That's one hundred and ten dollars overall. Even if both of the versions of PP generated 110 dollars, it wouldn't be a smart business move. Understand?

I want the game to come out, but I'm being realistic.

but lets say they tell use in july that it will be release in late july wouldnt that be hurting business since they didnt give enough time for hype to build up which can kill profits. i did some math and just from everyone here they should get get about $53,760 of course i dont know production cost so im going to say 60% so now they will get $21,504 ok not what they want in profits but it is a profit no less and there other things that will take away from the 21504 but just to stay basic its not bad

Ah, but I don't recall seeing many advertisements for any of the games... I really on saw a few in a couple magazines...

My point is that, I don't get why they keep making barely playable games, when MLBPP was the most fun I've had since MVP 05 (Yes, my dad kept that game, and I still play it.), and it was probably the easist to learn

One of my cousins has MVP Baseball '03 or '05 for PS2, it included the Expos, and I'm a beast at it.

You know when a game is released and someone buys it, the company doesn't get all of that income, right? Neal Bortz was talking about this the other day on his radio show. Companies have to pay federal and state income taxes!! When that's all said and done, they barely get anything in the United States. That's why they are going to go and make a product which sells more in a shorter amount of time, so they can have the money faster for future projects.

yeah i know all that i once figured out how much oil companies profit per gallon. at the time oil companies were getting in trouble for making money and oil cost 110 a barrel and at the gas station it was being sold for about 2.70, and came up with them making a 3 cent profit per gallon
