I'm trying to make a maxed-out guy (BEFORE 2344, at this rate, that's not a guarantee ). I'm one week before I formerly join the GoldenApples and meet Joey and Terry.
Stats: Current Number (What I want to get to, from Eric's Guide)
CON: 12 (13)
PWR: 100 (180)
RUN SPD: 13 (13)
ARM STR: 10 (15)
FLD: 9 (13)
E RES: 12 (15)
Energy: Almost full, about 95/100, I'd say
S/L-ing for my 11th GR (I NEED A LIFE!) to sell. Right now, at a balance of $5,935.

How am I doing? I'm going to use the games the get ARM STR, since it's the hardest to get in my opinion. I haven't sold any GR's yet. After I sell 10 of them (so I can keep one for more gambling) I will be at $13,435. Again, how am I? Any tips/suggestions?

Stop S/L for Gambler Rings!!! Instead, use them for SoH and SoD. You'll have enough money to buy waxes at the end. In fact, you might not even need waxes. Special abilities like Refined and Rally Hitter are extremely valuable.

Your doing pretty good, but I think your setting your sights a bit low. Maybe raise power to 200 or get a lot more abilities. You can easily make an all As guy at this point, why not set the bar a bit higher?

Longball: I'm following Eric's guide, so I get two Jaw jobs each week. I get one SoH (I've gotten the possible abilities from a SoF and a LPoB) and a GR.

cownip: Those stats are for before the eqpuiment overhaul. He will be entirely maxed out all of the core abilities. I will buy:
W Shot (+2 CON)
15 Bat Waxes (+75 PWR)
Spikes that upgrade RUN SPD 2 (RUN SPD +2)
Mizzoto Glove Pro (+2 FLD)

And he will become a 15, 255, 15, 15, 15, 15! Woohoo!

also, it'd be more impressive if you got all a's than some 15's and 13's.

I need to update my guide. You only need one GR, from start to finish. I actually have player log for a maxed out middle infielder with a 90 mph fastball, 85 control, 105 stamina and handful of pitching abilities (Poise, Fastball Life, Groundball P, etc). It's color-coded and easy to follow. Not sure how to post an Excel file on the message board, but send me a PM and I can email it to you.

Jeez, thats a very good start. I feel like a noob now I can never do that good, even at end of season. Except I got lucky wit Dice Out (in password exchange fourm). He's only my best custom player, well pitcher. But yeah you'll get maxed.

Okay, here's the story. First, I need some more scout points to make it to the majors, and I'm playing Gil. My team is losing by one run with one guy on in the bottom of the ninth. He comes up. First pitch is a fastball. HUGE mistake, and it goes 450 feet into the RF bleachers! WALK-OFF HOMERUN! For some reason, I didn't get Walk Off Hitter. So, I play the Sittch game and I get the stupid idea to pitch to Sittch instead of giving him an IBB. I throw three low inside pitches, and he rips the cover off of the third one for a triple. This rallies for a 3 run first inning, and, since I've never scored more than 1 run in the game, I thought it was over. I was able to knock Sittch out in 4 innings. No more runs were scored until the 8th, when my guy got what should have been a double, but, since I had 13 speed at the time, was stretched out into an inside the park HR! I was able to score again and get some more on base, but they were stranded on and the inning was over. The 9th inning came with the score 3-2.
So, the next batter is my Success player, and I try to take the matter into his hands. He kills it 500 feet...directly upwards. 1 Out.
So, the next guy hits a bloop single. Then, the next guy hits it into the outfield for another single. Some guy comes up, and I'm thinking "All I need to do is hit a shot into the outfield and maybe drive that runner in. Or load up the bases, which can allow me to sacrifice fly even to score a run. At least, anything but a DP." He crushes it to the 3B, who throws it to the 2B. 2 Outs. I try to squeeze out the guy to make it to first and have runners at the corners. It's a double play, and the game ends. My guy makes it to the Majors.

When I buy all the junk to increase my stats to Maxed out, I accidentally sell my Discount Coupon since I thought I had already used my real one and it was a spare one from all the junk the Doctor got me. I bought everything I was supposed to, but I was three power points short. I have $544. If I buy a Discount Coupon, it puts me at $529, $11 short of another one. I was crushed. So, I used the experience points from the Sittch game. WOOHOO! I will never make that mistake again, but I'm lucky it didn't matter. Whew.

Also, I don't want to list all his abilities or I might reach the 60000 character limit.

Wow, as i read you're last post, at first I was "Oh crap he didn't get all A's" Lucky it worked out and you did it.
