We might want to skip star for all of them. Babe Ruth needs intimidator so he obviously can't get it, even though if anyone was, it was Ruth. So why not skip the rest as well? Even without star this team will fill up the all-star team haha.

I'm not going to get this done untill after Christmas break, I'm on vacation. If anyone else wants to do him, that's fine, I didn't get very far and I'll probably restart. I literally spent an hour reloading for a decent guy, but I got the worst guys I've ever seen. I got tons of all gs except power which was an f, but no good sense. I got one all gs guy. I got no bad sense guys (except one that was all gs and 2 low fs, and he should have had good sense) or average guys, so I took a bad guy and tried him, but I wasn't going fast enough after 3 months. So, if you want to make him, go ahead.
Let's decide the stats for other players.
How about Ty Cobb?
2 trajectory
I don't know what I'd give him for power, relatively low though (ds?)
A (maxed) contact
A maxed or a- speed
Arm Strength?
Fielding A- or B+?
Error Resistance A- or B+?
Abilities:
Just to start: Contact hitter, Base Runner 4, Stealer 4, Great Infield hitter, Bad Morale, Slap Hitter, Maybe Intimidator (not for homeruns, but he intimidated pitchers and often tried to scare them. He played mental games with them), Good B2B hitter. I know there's a lot more he should have.

I would be in favor of giving him a 1 trajectory, and A power. He hit the ball as hard as anybody, but he hit line drives, not homers. Otherwise, 2 trj and 140 power.

he needs refined, spray hitter, push hitter, and consistency.

lower the fielding stats a little bit, he was good, but not that good. I'm thinking B arm, B- fld, C+ err.

I don't think Refined is good. He gave batting advice to another hitter once, and he only batted . 260 that year. Sorry Longball.

Refined is considered "a smart hitter with a great swing". I don't know about the swing but there was nobody smarter than Ty Cobb when it came to hitting. His style was all about bat control, so his advice probably didn't fit the other guy. Besides, you don't consider how smart a hitter is by his advice.

On the power, No way does he get A-Power with any trajectory. Maybe C power with 1 trajectory, but nothing more. This guy hit cuts and slashes to every where in the field. He didn't hit them against the outfield wall. You also have to remember that 1-trajectory almost never leaves the infield. I say 2 trajectory with mid d power, but nothing higher then C. This is one of the only guys with very low power on the team.
I agree about refined, I'm not sure what Apple's getting at

He probably did hit them against the outfield wall. One time, he slid his hands to the bottom of the bat in like 1921 or something, and hit 3 homers in one game. The next game he hit 2. Then he split his hands apart again and went on slapping singles.

I don't know. I'm willing to go to late ds and early cs, but not further. At least one guy shouldn't hit homers every time he's at-bat on this team. Is there a line-drive hitter ability?

Slap Hitter (the green ability, opposite of Slugger) helps guys with low power & trajectory like Ichiro hit scorching linedrives. Not sure if you can get Slap Hitter in Success mode. Same with Trash Talk - Cobb was a serious bastage. Cobb & Ichiro were probably fairly similar in terms of their slash & dash approach and their hidden power potential. Ichiro hits bombs in BP and I know Cobb did too.

Well, one also must remember that anything close to a homerun was a bomb for most of Ty-Cobb's career. Once Ruth and Gherig came in, it wasn't the case, but he was much older then. Trash Talk wouldn't do anything for Cobb because he's not a catcher and it only helps them. But he is definetly a trash talker, that's why I think he should get intimidator because of his trash-talking.

Yes, I'd agree Cownip. Only catchers can get Trash Talk, I believe.

Cobb definitely intimidated pitchers. One time, he turned his butt to the pitcher so he couldn't see the ball at all. The pitcher threw four straight balls!

Outfielder's can't get trash talk.

Yes, the "Trash Talk" ability can only be given to catchers.

Are we still on the Deadball Era?
