I got a few, off the top of my head.
Call me an oldy, but I love Don McLean’s American Pie
I also love Carry on My Wayward son, what an amazing guitar solo
While I'm on Kansas, my favorite Rock Ballad (and the only one too) is Dust in the Wind, two great classics.
Anyone ever heard Iris? It's a pretty good song, but what kills me is the guitar solo. I love that, I feel like air guitaring on the ground (though I always restrain) every time I hear that. It's just amazing, it's my favorite solo without a doubt.
I also like Mr. Brightside, Stairway to Heaven (although it is over-rated), and It's the End of The World As We Know It.
Here are a few more I just listened too that I like: Istanbul (Istanbul was constantinople Now it's istanbul, not constantinople Been a long time gone, constantinople Not Constantinople... know the song), Birdhouse in your Soul, Tunak Tunak Tun and Blister in the Sun.
I just listened to a lot of these recently, so there on my mind. Still, my top 3 are American Pie, Carry on My Wayward Son, and Iris for it's guitar solo.
