Actually, that's pretty logical.
You can't use it anymore, so it goes away.

The 2 things that really helped were Dr. Goodjob (Duh) and the Gambler's Ring.
Btw, if you haven't tested him yet, let me just say this:
In the final game (vs. sittch), my slider was so good, nobody could catch up to it, they would swing where it was placed (all the way to the right) when it curved all the way to the middle. It is easily the best slider I have ever seen.
KN is great too, and gyro works well. I even got the FB to 99 mph one time.

Ok, gonna bump this because another freaky thing happened to me (2, actually)

First, I was S/Ling for a Gambler's Ring, and I was reading the new Sports Illustrated.
I accidentally press the A button to practice, not go to the items screen.
after, i just go "why not?"
i go open the surprise bag, and lo and behold, a gambler's ring pops out!

2nd, I got Jaw.
Not too exciting, until you realize that I got him the 1st week of March, year 1.
That's before Bison appears!
