Okay, I was beginning my KN+Gyro Pitcher last night, and it was around September in the game, after the championship. I see my guy walking in the park randomly, and he says "Ah, I feel so lethargic." I go "No! It can't be! Gasp!"
Then the music cues, and who should appear but the (in)famous...
DR. GOODJOB!!!!!!!!!! :dancetime: :eekdace:
However, I realized what the odds were, but since I don't S/L, it was an especially huge risk.
I decide to go through the operation, even signing the contract.
My guy gets zapped, and then I see his vitality go all the way up.
I check to make sure, and YES! It was a success!
CTRL up by 10. Top speed by 5. STAM by 15 or 20.
All my experience goes up by somewhere around 100, enough to upgrade my KN to a 4 break.

But that isn't it.
I also am looking for the TV thief.
Also...
The NEXT WEEK who shall appear but the famous and not infamous Jaw, PI.
I accept his employment and end up finding the dog on the first try, getting the money and a Surprise Bag. :muttrox:

So far, so good for my third gyroballer...
Comments?

Wow...Beats my one Dr. Goodjob visit in 07. That's just really impressive! Especially without S/L!

What week did this Goodjob occur? what month/year? I have a feeling that Goodjob ONLY triggers when you get afflicted with lethargic, so unless you get this status, he will never trigger as a normal RE. This means that his % to show up would be really low, since you not only need to trigger an RE, but also trigger the lethargic status (much like insomniac, etc).

So basically, my theory is that he can appear at any time, as long as you get lethargy as a random event type status effect. So what month/week/year is less important then the fact your player is lethargic.

Has anyone ever gotten lethargic status without getting Goodjob to show up? There is a necklace in the game that cures laziness, and i think some medicine that does also, so im pretty sure this status effect is part of the Goodjob RE.

Any other ideas on this? Id sure like to narrow it down to either certain weeks/months that are better to find him, or that he is triggered by the status effect- theres got to be some relation to one of these factors.

I dunno if anyone said this before.
But for Jaw. If you guessed it wrong..
It takes like 2 seconds longer to load the next screen..
And it is the same for Dr. Goodjob.
If you fail the operation. The next screen when he say you are just a sacrifice takes longer to load..
:D
great pitcher anyways.
if he having other breaking balls other than KN?

Your vitality must be in red for goodjob to appear.

Not every time. I've had him show up with high yellow vitality. She messed up my guy but he did show up. The only time I've had successful operations was with low vitality.

SHE!?!?!?
I'm hoping you didn't do that on purpose.

But I'm about to pass AA, saved at Oct. 1st and am trying like crazy to pass, its possible, but havent done it yet.
btw, after s/ling (only times i do it are for passing and surprise bags) for a SoP, i finally settled on good low pitch, which i need because i aim low a lot.

aww..
you should have go for other abilities such as Safe Pitch or Battler
because it is VERY easy to get Good Low pitch in a game.. :D
you just need to pitch low and you will get the ability at the end of a game:D
