Matt Holliday is about to be traded to the A's.
Apparently, the deal includes P Greg Smith, OF Carlos Gonzalez, and CL Huston Street.

OMG... they are almost done the deal..
It is Matt Holliday for closer Huston Street, outfielder Carlos Gonzalez and left-handed pitcher Greg Smith.
Here are their stats for last year
Matt Holliday-----.321 25 homers 88 RBIs.
Huston Street-- 3-0 1.06 ERA and 11 saves in 13 opportunities.. American League's Rookie of the Year in 2005 saved 98 games in his four seasons, career high of 37 in 2006.
outfielder Carlos Gonzalez-- top prospect in Arizone organization, before he was dealt to Okland for Haren.. hit .242 with 4homers and 26 RBIs in 85 games for the A's..
left-handed pitcher Greg Smith--- 7-16 with a 4.16 ERA in 32 starts

I guess Okland got a better deal.. but you can never guess what prospects can do..
some can become the next MVP or they can be useless.

Darn, they phills were looking at him. i liked him. anyway, looks good for both sides, but yeah, okland might be getting a little better. Mmmm...The phills were looking at Rocco Baldelli as well.

Why can't the Phils sign Adam Dunn?

He wouldn't be that much different from Pat Burrel. More k's, more homers, but i don't think they want him. i would much rather see a three-way Baldelli/Jenkins/Stairs Platoon.

Adam Dunn=Ryan Howard the 2nd, in terms of HR, SO, Ave They wont be a different team with Dunn. I was suprise that Holliday went to A's of all other teams. Yay i can go watch him play in Oakland play now

How about a Dunn/Baldelli/Stairs/Jenkins/Dobbs platoon!

Yeah, read the fine print. Too many strikeouts. But I would like to see Adam Dunn in a Phillies uniform anyway, I don't care if he doesn't change the offense. Plus, Baldelli's playing time could be very limited... and besides, Dunn is the best LF on the free agent market now, other than Manny. I would sign him.

that's 32.4 games each But really, Baldelli would be better, he'd be a change (like Obama ), but not a huge one, since we'd still have some power in Stairs and Jenkins.

If not Dunn, we could bring back Bobby Abreu, or: ( indicates unlikely)

Would i love Abreu. We could easily afford him w/out Pat the bat, and Werth could move to left. good either way. But Bobby is unlikely.
