To me it seems like the computer just hits homeruns and that's the only way they can score, and they can't manufacture runs. Is anyone else seeing this? Also, please try to be unbiased about it.

Actually, I've only seen that a little. I've been scored on most times when i throw a hanging pitch or mistake pitch that gets ripped for a double, and a single brings him home.

Maybe you let so little men on base that's how they try to score haha. Perhaps the difficulty is too low, raising it could make them smarter. I always find they get a few consecutive hits and don't hit as many homeruns as they should. Sluggers hit for power too much, yes, but there are plenty of slap hittters who only hit for power when there is a strong wind or when your pitcher is tired.

I'm on expert now, but I previously had it on All Star but turned it down because they just drilled homerun after homerun and I still see it too much on expert. I think the problem has to do with the power hitters trying to hit for power too much like you said, I was thinking that was it but wasn't 100% sure.

Here's what I might try doing, as boring as it is. Watch a game between a team with powerful ability hitting and pitching with one team (both arrange) full of the best power hitters (edit if you need to) and one with the best pitchers and see how they compare. For the pitchers, you really only need 3/4 great pitchers and if you want to use one that's really good, use a player here or just edit.

This is exactly what is happening to me, the comp can't get base hits. It may get one or two a game, but any mistake pitch or hanging bb gets destroyed.

Yeah, the game is a great game, but the CPU can't get base hits. This is one instance where I would love if there were sliders in this game.

I'd do what I sugested before. I give up plenty of base-hits in powerful but not too many homers. It could also be the pitcher, maybe he has a 100-MPH fast ball with average movement? To have a 100+ Mile Fastball, you need at least movement 4.

Nope, I don't use pitchers with 100+ mph. I also think it probably has to do with how the slider is perfectly in one line and has no drop to it all. And the change ups sit there for people to crush.

It must be the way your pitching. Use both sides of the plate and only 2 pitches an inning. If you mix too much or do everything, they'll hit homers off you. Then a few ininngs later mix things up and bring in some lesser pitches and they'll be confused.

I'm pretty sure it's not the way I pitch. I always use both sides of the plate and don't try to show my breaking balls too much.

I don't know then. Try lowering the lock on, other then that I can't offer any tips.

I don't use lock on. Then the CPU would just blast homers upon homers, but thanks for trying to help out. I guess I'll just have to see if it changes.

I ave both the computer batting and user batting set to normal, with lock on off. It's just crazy easy if either the CPU or the user use lock on, I could hit a homerun with a player with 60 power with lock on 1. That's how easy it is, and so can the computer and that's why neither have lock on on.
