I know their is already one but derekjeter76 wasn't posting much on his. I have added a couple people so look down the list and stuff. Now I know it's october and some people want to keep the roster at the end of Sept or Aug. I'm going to hold a poll whether or not to put October updates here.


In order to update rosters you must go to ARRANGE on the main menu and create all 30 MLB teams. Then you can edit rosters by adding players on that arranged team and deleting them. EX) Add I. Rodriguez on the Yankees. I. Rodriguez will be on the Yankees and Tigers unless you delete him from the Tigers.

The 1st add & remove is for hitters. The 2nd add & remove are for pitchers. I have been doing this whole thing during the Yankees @ Rangers game and it has taken me about 2 hours.

If you see any errors just post and I will correct.

I would't wait untill next year, there will be no updates in October. The other post hasn't been updated for a reason, trades can't be made after July.

Oct 10 Michael Barrett refused assignment, FA now


Oct 1 Phillies released Francisco Rosario.

I wouldn't because if you do trades in the off-season, then you'd have to include new abilities of this year and you'd basically have to edit everything in the game to keep it accurate. There is no need. Maybe you should make this thread again in March or January, but for now the updates will be way too slow. No one realeases their own players while there in the play-offs. Let me guess, the only yes was you?

Alot of people do, look above th Phillies, a PLAYOFF team released one of their pitchers. This doesn't have much to do with abilities either.....

Ruben Gotay got sent to AAA

There is no triple A, triple a season is long gone (mid-early september).

Players can still be optioned down to AAA though, it gets them off the 25 man roster(which is at 40 for septemeber so they will end up sending down a lot of players because of this).

I don't think its called that any more, but they can be taken off the 25-man roster, yes. Only in between series though so the last update you'll need to make is after the world series.

People are still releasing and signing players.

No, they can't sign till after the post-season. I just don't get the point mate, it seems very useless. This should be put in free-for-all as its not about 08 anymore. Threads there will be made about every major player, most likely though so I still don't understand the point.

Triple A shouldn't be on here unless you update triple A for everyone, theres a lot of players brought up that haven't been mentioned. And they might, but that would affect MLB Power Pros 2009, not 08.

Activated C Michael Barrett from the 60-day disabled list and sent him outright to Triple-A Portland. He refused the assignment and is a free agent.
