i was updating some players on my game and i noticed several inconsistencies with the day game / night game ability. it looks as though the game developers didn't even bother to update some of the player abilities from the 2006 season to 2007. i have listed a few below:

alex cora (red sox)
abilities: pr day game / gd night game
2007 split stats
day games .263 avg, .314 obp, and .432 slg
night games .232 avg, .285 obp, and .348 slg
2006 split stats
day games .148 avg, .216 obp, .174 slg
night games .286 avg, .365 obp, .364 slg

jason giambi (yankees)
abilities: gd day game / pr night game
2007 split stats
day games .196 avg, .295 obp, and .391 slg
night games .259 avg, .389 obp, and .457 slg
2006 split stats
day games .341 avg, .529 obp, .765 slg
night games .217 avg, .356 obp, .471 slg


maybe its not that big of a deal but kinda disappointing to find that the developers missed this or were just too lazy to update players especially since the game was released at the end of the '08 season and it still has outdated abilities from 2006!

What about career numbers? I'm not going to look this up .. but if the 06 stats resemble their career numbers more than 07, then it should take a few years of this trend before it gets updated...

good point. i was thinking about that after i had posted this, though still inconclusive.
